I got the Darth Maul myself, My gf who won't watch Star Wars simply cause it's in space was over one day, I threw on a black hoodie, killed the lights, and activated one side with it angled from my side down to the floor. The sound made her and her daughter turn around, the sight made them back up, igniting the blade made 'em shriek in fear . Just goes to prove, lightsabers are the scariest weapon in the galaxy.

I have nothing against posing with a lightsaber for a picture, but the illusion is lost when you're wearing street clothes in your bedroom. That's like if I wanted to get a picture taken of me as a ninja but chose a playground as my backdrop. Some of the mystique is lost.

just use lsmaker. it isnt as easy to use as a prop like that, but it saves you the $500 because its free. (BTW its a software build purely for saber stuff, but i've used it on eyes to make them look evil
