I loved the tribute to Samudra. I was there for his birth, and have been there ever since. I work at the zoo and the elephants are must best animals. I also live in Molalla and it is a drive, but I don't mind in at all, just to see the kid!!!!

I heard that Rose Tu was abused by her keeper/trainer.

That was in 2000, and the handler was fired from the Oregon Zoo that same day, and was also convicted for animal abuse... So sad. Poor Rose-Tu!
