If it's going to be a problem with your job or something you'll want to get removed someday, then it's better to just not get one in the first place. Think before you act. If you know you'll want it forever and you're ok with any possible consequences of having a tattoo then go for it. There's nothing wrong with tats. Just remember to think it through first.

@smile221 I think they're attractive if they're really small...only like 2 or 3 sizes up from a normal ear piercing...like from size 16 to size 8 probably...If you only bump it up a few sizes from normal earring gauge, the piercing holes will go back to normal earring size if you keep them out for a few months. I would never get any big enough that I could fit my pinkie through it though. That's gross.

My parents are very liberal, and when I told them that I would be getting a tattoo (on my 18th birthday) they were upset; not because they don't like them, but because they know that there are people out there who ARE going to judge me, and that will just be another struggle to get past.
