Kerry was completely undervalued as a candidate last time around. The guy fought in Vietnam, returned to help lead the opposition to it, investigated the role of U.S. officials in narcotrafficking (Kerry Committee Report) which was a precursor to the Iran-Contra affair and rather then pander to the U.S. populace with cute slogans and meaningless rhetoric Kerry largely ran a campaign speaking about facts, policy and real complex solutions to complex problems.
