@Casper135177 John Pesek is one of the greatest and possibly the greatest pound for pound submission wrestler of all time. We featured him in our book Rough and Tumble that we did with Erik Paulson. Please send your address on a private message and we will send you a copy of the book.
If some of these early pro wrestlers were in his prime today and takes on any of today's superstars, he might easily win the match, because wrestlers like Ed "Strangler" Lewis, Stanislaus Zybysko,... took their craft seriously. They really knew how to maim and cripple their opponents. They were the real deal..
There were no gimmicks back then. The early wrestlers didn't come to the ring dressed in colorful costumes. They just put on trunks and, maybe, a robe or a towel around their necks.
Nice video! Wish you had attempted to keep them in chronological order. But good work, nonetheless. I am writing a series of articles on pro wrestling, covering the eras from 1898-present.
Nice job on this production but why did you decide to start in 1898? Evan Lewis was all but retire by then except for a disastrous comeback attempt against the Terrible Turk. & why no Muldoon?
@TheVidNerd Thank you.I wanted another, but couldn't think of the name.It went "Na Na,Da da da.Dot dot da dot,dot dot da dot, nananananananaNA! Do you know the name?
So, Dean Malenko stole his nickname "The Man of 1,000 Holds" from Earl Caddoch.
