Hooray for the Darlign Buds! Used to see them live - ace stuff. 8 years after that I saw Oasis on thier first tour. What self indulgent nonsense. Give me my 5 quid back and put the Darling Buds back on.

They were, somewhat bizarrely playing with The Spear of Destiny - I say bizarrely because SOD had little or no credibility by now, whereas The Darling Buds were one of the hot tips. I watched this every morning before going to school for about 6 months - The Darling Buds played 6 songs I think and it was TV Special - all the fans were there to see SOD for some reason. I really fancied her too, but never spotted those fat legs - love is blind as they say.

spear of destiny were at their peak (chartwise) around 87-88 - when this show is taken from. It was screened on ITV show THE CONCERT in 1989. This was part of THE PRICE tour and was filmed at the forum aka town & country club (thats why all the fans were there to see SOD) I only wish the darling buds had played evry show with SOD, i think we got some band called living in texas or something along that line......

I have been a DB fan for 17 years in the US and it's unbelievable it's been that long. Many thanks for posting an awesome live show. Thanks again so much for laying down such a great foundation. It's my hope generations being spoonfed complete shite by MTV can learn from the musical creativity and harmony that bands like this made.

It was filmed in 1989 at The Town & Country Club, London. It appears they played with Spear Of Destiny according to the ending credits of video part 2. I only have the Darling Buds portion, though.

it was not filmed in 89, it was shown in 89 on tv the show dates to around october 88 I have both parts on DVD
