It's called RAI music and it's insanely good. The singer at the time it was released (and used in the Fifth Element) was known as Cheb Khaled. However, if you want to hear his more recent stuff, he goes by the name Khaled now, as "Cheb" is a prefix meaning "young" in Arabic. I guess he's not feeling young any more. Must have been getting old for him.
