verdasco going to be great just give him some time to mature and make his game smarter. the strokes are there, its all mental from here. when he gets the right mind set, hes going to be an absolute threat. you just sit back and watch him blow by fed and take nadal in the coming years
ok i admit it, verdasco definitely seems a different player now. I've always thought he had awesome groundstrokes and speed, but he's turning into a smart player now. so i hope I'm wrong about what I said earlier, that he'll never do anything important in tennis
I can understand that, but the point is that you were wrong, theirs nothing wrong about that, but you seemed to defend your case as to why you thought that Verdasco was not as capable of some good wins. People can change like Agassi had that bad run to then he went to see Gil Reyes (a trainer) and after dominating challengers he was back on top, BTW Verdasco's trainer right now is Gil Reyes, so I knew in my mind not to count him or any other person in the Australian Open out.
sickest forehand in the ATP, unfortunately he will never do much in tennis, he wilts under pressure almost every chance you give him. that and he has absolutely no 'plan b'
wilts under pressure? like winning the davis cup for spain (on hardcourt and in argentina). and last night against murray? 5 set win... he will never be nr 1 but he can become a top 10 player this year without any problem
the win over murray last night was great, the davis cup final was good, but he still hasn't proved himself. his strokes are too good to be happy with simply winning the davis cup (which IMO is a farce anyways, stupid to have it every single year) and beating murray once. i never said he's not capable of some good wins
oh and also you were saying he wouldn't get good wins because you said "he wilts under pressure". It was just a win against Murray or a win against Tsonga it was also a trip to the Semifinals in the Australian Open
well you can't be right all the time. He's playing extremely well right now, but so was another Fernando (Gonzalez) at the '07 AO ....what has he done since then? Oh yeah, absolutely nothing. I doubt he will be able to get past Nadal, who just beat Simon. He's capable of beating almost anybody, but aside from the last few matches he's played, he's never done anything of note in tennis, and he's only won 2 titles in his career. Excuse me if I don't jump on the Verdasco bandwagon immediately
I love him i think he is amazing

Verdasco has the nastiest forehand in tennis. That thing is just a punishing brutal shot.

I loved the semi-final match b/w Verdasco & Rafa.
It was Verdascos first ever grand slam & he did exceptionally fantastic. beat the record for the longest match played in Australia =)

well he just beat Tsonga who made it to the Australian Open Final Last Year, so you do realize that what you said is wrong right!

that's the nastiest forehand in the game right there. just amazing extension on every shot...i envy him

And ur nickname is federermagic. Federer's forehand is arguably the best as well. Since hes won 12 slams.and yes verdasco's is pretty sick.
