@aluston91 Actually, I am a black-belt, but a 1st dan, not a 10th dan. You disagree with me and that's fine. I still stand by what I said, but unlike most other people on youtube, I can accept that different people have different views.
What the **** is this? No skill, no movement and no attempts to block... This is not karate, this is "stand there and get hit whilst trying to do the same to the opponent".
@anthonysmith73 If it was allowed to punch each other in the faces, their faces would be destroyed in no time. You can se how they punch to their body, that would be the same for their head.
And, they godt no protection on their hands, body, head, and so on. So probally, if it was allowed, people will break things, such as, nose, jaw, eyebrow and so on.
Great Karate! Ashihara Karate is the result of Kyokushin! The Kyokushin karate is the father of all contact Japanese karate. Ashihara was one of the best students of Mas Oyama. Osu!
The reeason you are not as good as this white belt is that he is not a white belt. To avoid confusion in karate competitions, competitors remove their black belts and one wears red (aka) and ones white(shiro) or they wear red or white tape around their belts.
stupid audience, they scream "yeaaaaaah" when the red belt guy takes the other one to the ground. that's not clean and not karate, actually, it's sloppy. but good fight thou

I like this. Its like kyokushin but with some more grappling. Like the one who put out this film said, it looks exactly like old school kyokushin. Too bad it isnt like this in kyokushin nowadays.
those kicks are extremely painful. This type of contact carate may not seem that movie-like, but - if you so nothave special training - you will be off-your feet after first kick. This karate style is not for show, it is for real, and is very effective
I'm an ashihara student, at the dojo a guy who had previous training in muay thai, of course, he thought he was hot shit, like you think thai fighters are, he couldn't spar over a minute with a yellow belt ashihara student.
hmm...Looks pretty efficient, especially the low kicks but you can't say one art is superior to the other. In Muay Thai you can use elbows and knees and from what I see you can't hit your opponent's face under Ashihara's rules. A Muay Thai fighter couldn't stand a minute against an English boxer under English boxing rules. However an English boxer wouldn't make it against a good Muay Thai fighter under kickboxing or Muay Thai rules because he wouldn't be able to stand on his feet. Same here.
Osu, Kyokushin kai fought Muay Thai, and has made a good showing, even winning. As far as Judo, Joko Ninomiya, student of Ashihara, is Sandan in Judo, and has somewhat blended the technique into the Enshin style.
As a Dane, I would have preferred to see Neumann come out on top, but Lavrushin simply was the better fighter. They've met at Sabaki Challenge Spirit before, where Lavrushin also won.
Good kumite!!!the guy with the red belt had a great understanding of how to use sabaki to create chances for trowing technigues...thanks for the post.
Great fight! But are them really into the same weight class? Can you only clinch and grapple, or takedowns and throws are also allowed?

Isn't it Aleksandr Lavrushin and Daniel Neumann?
I know Daniel. He was my tutor once. Extremely high skilled guy..! Though, he can't put up with Aleksandr. He's just the best. !

When you train to hit in a mans chest your arm are becoming more powerfuel than the arms of a normal boxer!

Noo Noo
A kick to the head isnt`t so hard than a punch
because these ones got no protect on their hands so a paunch would make hard injuries

I don't know why but Russian Karate fighters always tend to have good unique balance and fast punches.
