I'm cool with the melee system but I hate people that melee in snipers. If someone shoots me once in the femur and then beats me down, annoying. IMO, melee should not either: Be in sniper playlists or do much less damage kinda like grenades in SWAT.

Do not like the new melee system in Reach. It use 2 be more about shooting instead of punching. In Reach people take advantage of it & wont say i have never double punched cause do it myself rarely, but its just annoying that people are that determined to never shoot & punch all the time which kind of took away the fun i remember from past Halo titles. Almost like in MW2. In the 1st MW you would shot 4 kills mostly, but in MW2 it became even worse about camping 4 kills. I think you were good :)

Melee only is awesome. I did half a match in COD MW2 as melee when my team Marathon, Commando, and Lightweight. It was awesome. My team was pinned down and we could not move from our position. I ran in and just melee'd all 6 enemies down. That was right after the release when everyone was still getting use to the game. As time progresses, tactics become less usefull.

The sword really isn't as much of a problem in Reach due to the fact that you can block a sword attack by hitting back at the player. It's all perfect timing of course, but it does cut back on deaths by the sword.

pro tip: abuse your radar. it is there for a reason. to many times i have witnessed you rush a guy when there was someone right behind you.

pro tip 2: when being shot at, use ever cover you can. many cod players forget that when you have so much time before you die, you can do stuff that gets in between your bullets. you did this a few times, but the real skill is using your cover as a weapon. you can just crouch and wait for them to chase you.

how is commando like the energy sword? you can BLOCK the sword with a melee, use frickin armor lock and kill the guy with it, and if you're a half decent player with a magnum, you can kill the sword guy in a few shots. and there is only one sword on the map, so anyone who wants it can get it , but everyone else can try and kill them to get it.... and if you see the guy with the huge energy thing, you know to stay the FUCK away....
