How is the S2K better than the 350Z? Let's see, higher compression motor, better use of rev range, lighter in weight, handles better, nice crisp shorter gears(in my opinoin, Z/G gears are too long and mild)
Over all, the S2000 is a better car. The S2K just makes better use with its engine and suspension.
With the amount of torque and hp the Z has over the S2K, that's not much at all.

@mrmovin12345 i own an s2000 and ive raced plenty of z's. with a decent driver in the z the s will never beat it in a straight line. i got i/h/e in my ap1 and its neck and neck against a vq z, after 3rd gear its a walk fest s2000 cant rev fast enough to stay in its torque band. i dont even bother with HR z's. however i cant speak for the ap2, but i dont think an extra 10lbs of torque make a difference or the slightly different gearing
stock 350's aren't slower than stock mustang GT's. from a dig the GT will pull but the gearing of the 6-speed (in my z at least) will pull at higher speeds. in other words, stock Z is pretty much equal to a stock GT, just depends on if your going from a roll or a dig.

350z curb weight - 3,188 lb s2000 curb weight - 2,864 lb hmm lets do a power to weight ratio and then after that we will consider engine displacement. 240hp 2,864lb = 11.9 306hp 3188lb = 9.5 keep in mind the lower the number the better.. so therefore power to weight 350z wins so no excuse for weight at all.. ok now lets do power per liter.. 2.0 240hp = 120hp per liter 3.5 306hp = 87.4 per liter so hmm s2000 over 350z easy. so s2000 = greatness and great success and 350z=fail, good try though

I think it was a tie and the S2K driver let off early... they were practically neck and neck the entire time. I do realize the Z had a passenger, and that could've affected the outcome, but seriously there was very little difference in acceleration the way I see it.

@spoonitr16830 nice specs but u gotta think abt wht yr the 350z is. the newer 07, 08s have a dual intake. thts wht ur specs are for. i know bc i own an 07 350z. but it is not hp tht wins staight drags or 40 mph rolls. its torque n power along with grip. 350z= around 270 lbs of torque. s2k a small 165ish lbs. ive won again many s2ks n 350z. n the pull of tht 350 isnt tht of a dual intake. but ill give to the 4 cly for keepin up with a car almost half a ton heavier

The 350 had 1 passenger, windows rolled down, and not only that but weighs more than the s2k. Which is really sad to see it lose to a big body. Gotta give it to the 350!

I think it was a tie and the S2K driver let off early... they were practically neck and neck the entire time. I do realize the Z had a passenger, and that could've affected the outcome, but seriously there was very little difference in acceleration the way I see it.
