In the first episode of second season of Fringe, a Selectric II typewriter is used as a communication device to send messages to the other dimension. A customer goes to a store and asks for a Selectric 251 typewriter. The store owner insists that a Selectric 251 doesn't exist, but when the customer insists, the store owner realizes he's one of "them." The reverse message is the voice of ALT Dunham asking for the typewriter

@mpchoriste It's like this in Norway, too :( They aired only the first season in Norway, so i had to stream season 2.

Using the typewriter as a transition/way of narrating was pretty cool.
