  • 4:28 in the bottom left when you step back, looks like you have an octopus arm...

  • If you want to hook 2 or more barrels together you would want the connector pipes connecting the bottoms of the barrels. Then you would only have to use one garden hose spigot, and it does not matter which of the barrels you placed it on because all barrels would remain at the same level and maintain the same output pressure. I would also suggest placing the barrels on a pedestal 3 to 4 feet high as to be able to use all the water and have higher water pressure. Just another option. great stuff

  • So is the water in this rain catch to be used primarily for watering gardens and other non-potable water tasks?

  • gardens or used for flushing toilets, washing, or I would consider drinkable depending on the amount of rain and how your roof system is set up.

  • What's the definition of 'Bugging' In/Out.

  • If there is ever a reason why you would need to survive some kind of huge event like total economic colapse, earthquake ,

Pandemic flu or disease people prepare themselves to either get out of town into a safe location on a family farm, mountains or other out of the way location this is called bugging out . Bugging in is another plan of how you can survive staying inside your home with water, food storage, protection and a plan

  • well said.

  • Nice explanation, thanks.

It's what I expected, but I just wanted it clear.

  • very good man, the water collector is not just good for bug in, I say its even better when no buggin is requiered, since it will lower your water bill, hook up a water purifing system and you can use it for drinking water, or at least you have water for household operations like toliet flushes, gardens and pets...free no bills!

  • Awesome. I should buy the odds and ends that I'd need to setup something like that here at my condo. I've got a downspout right next to my deck garden. I couldn't hook up something like that now. The home owners association would never agree, but it would be wise to stock the stuff just in case. I'll have to go with the big water storage blatters since I don't have room to store barrels.

  • I agree, I think the pool tabs will keep the water crystal clear.

  • Great little project I gonna have look back at the other video Because this could be used in other applications..

  • Nice setup. I have three 55 gallon containers for water storage but I still need to do something like you did for rain collection. Another great video bro!

  • Ingenuity at work! Great job!
