Yes I would definitely recommend this $99 Epiphone for someone starting out on guitar...I've been playing guitar for many years and added a Dimarzio humbucking pickup with a small switch to drop from the dual coil down to a single coil and a more Strat sound...For the price you really can't beat it....
Thanks...Yeah that's some of my old vinyl collection...I'm running that Epiphone LP Jr. through an old blackface Bassman head,a Digitech RP80 for a hint of "slapback" and into a Roland Bolt60(just for the speaker)...
