Full flaps, it goes down to about 110-120 knots while the helicopter needs to speed up a lot.

You can refuel with default f/a 18 on missions. Fly up to 17000 and your mission compass should switch to tanker. It is very hard to refuel this way but it is possible.

QUESTION!! When I'm practicing in-flight refuels I don't see the boom coming down, but the man in the tanker CAN see his boom down. everyone else in the VAF I'm in (USAVAF) has the same problem. is it a seperate effect or add-on or something?

Guys i im almost out of fail after landing at an Airport How Do i Refuel/get Fuel again ?

open the atc window, when on the ground choose option "taxi to fuel" - use progressive taxi if needed, when you reach fuel tanks the fuel and payload box opens

or

at a big airport eg. heathrow or manchester when you are at parking or a gate press the button to "call the fuel truck" (you need to assign it in the controls menu) and one will drive next to your aircraft and the fuel and payload window will open up

taxi up to the fuel box (looks like a small gas station or gas pump) and park in front, and your tanks will automatically refuel to 100% when you are close enough. Alternately, you can press Alt, then use the menu at the top of the screen to go to Aircraft>Fuel&Payload

I don't think you can actually find planes that actually refuel ... not on FSX anyway. I haven't really played in a few months, so there could have been one created in the last few months.

I thing some American KC-135 do when supporting the Navy but the KC-135 tail boom are fitted with basket one returned to Darwin Australia with the basket hanging out of its tail boom.

If you look up You tube: Mirage 2000 and FA-18 refueling...Extrait of the movie "ICE HORNET".LCHF/06"

This will show you a basket on the tail boom.

So they do have a basket!!!!!!!!!!!!!
