I know what you mean about being yourself for the camera. I have the same issue. I tend to do the goofy thing quite a lot, which is easier than being serious for me. I can relate to what you're experiencing right now and your life is yours and belongs to you, its hard when your envirornment contradicts whats in your heart to the point where you may question your path, i advise that you follow your intuititive senses and let the art take you to the places you need to go...i dont know your situation but from my expierience as kris put it standing still is not an option ;)

Then again I may have to sell my guitar for food. To ease that part of my mind that says my job holds me back. I tell myself that. It's what the majority of people do. The everyday people. Theirs inpiration their. To the point where you feel real issues that concern real people.

I find myself now stuck in a total rut and I have no idea where to go with my life. I don't want to be stuck in some 9 to 5 job doing something I really don't want to do that brings no satisfaction to my life.
There is something in my life I so want. But unfortunately I doubt I will ever have. But thats just life I guess. As crappy as it can get some times we just have to keep plodding along.
I really want to be performing again in a band. But where I live it's so very hard to find members. And now im thinking the same way as you are right now. I need a change and I need it fast! I just don't know what that change should be quite yet. Very frustrating. And im sure there are many other little boats adrift in this vast ocean thinking the same thing us right now
