My friend used to have this Indesit Washing Machine but Sadly It died at 2 years old.

Have the identical British version of this WG1034TG. An amazing machine and probably one of the last decent washing machines made. Yep its very old but it's nicely designed. I still use mine daily and even though its so old it runs very smoothly and spins like the clappers.

Indesit has better quality now, my neighbour told me in 2007.

He laughed at me 10 jears ago, I bought my machine from the german factory with the five letters. He always said, he dont want to pay "so much money" for his washing machine as i did more than ten years ago.

Now his machine (3rd time Indesit) is now broken down, My children had a lot of his fine pullovers made of sheep wool, shrinked within one ore two times of washing.

I wonder what kind of washing machine he will buy next week ...

No it will be 400. This is a Portugese model I think and the vast majority of washers in southern Europe either old or new have a max spin of 380-400rpm because of the warmer weather.

I'm also Portuguese and my AEG - Lavamat 41 (a 1995 model) spins at 1200 rpm.

Plus, tumble dryers require at least 800 rpm to do a decent job, and on winter sometimes we have to use them, so even if it is southern Europe, washers must be prepared ... And of course, there are some cheap models that only spin ate 400 or 600, but I thats what I call a bad work! :D

i had one of these models for nearly 10 years.great machine.only got rid of it because the glass cracked,and economically it wasnt worth getting fixed.i know a lot of people say this but old washing machines(even indesit)were built a whole lot better.
