  • "Let's see what this would like like if it were ice cream..... mmm that's pretty delicious."

    Classic

Well done instruction though, easy to follow. I like the humor included also, I mean I'm watching a youtube tutorial not attending a god damn lecture.

  • Thanks. (i2xxxx)

  • "I... really luv... the paaaattern brush." Thanks to this video we discovered that Droopy is currently working as graphic designer. Thanks for this tut Droopy!

  • very usefull thanks buddy :D

  • Where can i get the swirl patterns you are using?

  • im a textile designer and I studied at pratt institute in ne york.you are a good teacher.I like the dry humor and slower way of taking things in.I think you are kind of sellin yourself out as far as "never being able to draw the pattern" you are defintely smart enough to figure it out but I think it kind of pointless if you can do it faster.you might want to try and transfer the image to a piece of paper and paint or draw the pattern in.This also translates wel into silkscreen or etching

  • Thanks for a easy to follow tutorial - your pace is right on the mark - I love the pattern tool and your examples do well to show the tool off in the best light.

Sorry that some YouTube users are giving you a hard time, I expect they have never created an online tutorial or even posted any video content online.

  • @gogoran63 you are a fucking poet!! Youtube poetry at best!!!

  • Does anyone have any tips on how to make the pattern seamless....im about to pull my hair out

  • Great job 'Steven Wright' o_O thanks

  • really nice lesson, your exuberance and enthusiasm was also very refreshing

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA He was "overexcited" LOL @cartercarter8605

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA He was "overexcited" LOL @cartercarter8605

  • It's vector Jesus!

  • please something to ur volume. cannot hear a thing

  • he talks like that becuase he is the man he works for GO MEDIA JERKS he gets paid to sit on his butt so he talks slow and thinks fast

  • So wait...when you're saying the vector pieces are from "Set 8" what set are you talking about?

  • omg - that's what i was looking for! Amazing!

  • where do you find the patterns you used, or a website where I could get some.

  • @wiljonj he said gomedia.

if you google it, the submenus that google results will give you, you should have a freebies clickie. Go nuts. =]

  • amazing congratulations.... 5stars.4u.

  • great tutorial simple but very effective I love it!!!

  • COOL man!

Thanks a lot for the vid!

  • Thanks so much for the video, great job!

  • This guy should stop smoking a piound of weed before making a tutorial. Basically put me to sleep within 2 minutes. That is a skill in itself.

  • LOL

  • @quadrofolio i dont think he was on weed, it rather sounds as if half his face had been beaten off by a giant chimp..that might also explain his seclusion..better to use your last minutes of life handing down some vectorial knowledge than simply bleeding to death, the guy is national a hero and will be remembered as such..

  • @quadrofolio - I guess you missed out on the live color tip? Maybe some ADD meds might help you!

  • "... imagine trying yo draw that... on your own... No thank you!"

that had me cracking up! well done. makes me wanna get illustrator and try it out!

  • @kazuyamochu lol same here. :D

  • quick question i'm having a hard time sending that black rectangle behind my vector i tried the keyboard shortcut and everything it just won't budge it keeps being in the front what should i do ? =[

  • Just right-click>arrange>sendtoback

If your keyboard is set in other language than english, then some shortcuts won't work.

Also, check if everything is on the same layer :P

  • Adobe Illustrator is makind 3D objects as well.

  • You should not complain, I had one tutor refer to the 'circle' as a condom through the entire session! I don't think he ever realized what he was saying.

  • is the objects you chose come with illustrator or do you have to purchase it speratley

  • thanks a lot for this wonderful addition!!

  • wow i didnt even know this was possible. thanks!

  • you rock, thanks for the lesson and tips

  • Awesome! Literally just the help I was looking for...much appreciated.

    "...annnnd that looks pretty delicious"

thanks for the tutorial man. very useful info.

  • What are those intricate patterns called, I like them and would like some.

  • I had been tinkering with the pattern maker but you definitely taught me something new. Especially the idea on how to make things seamless. Thanks bro!

  • Haha, yeah I want some more Nerd Punk too, but he's gone back into seclusion now.
