Thanks a lot for this great tutorial. The result is fantastic......Do you have any other tutorial in which you may teach to do the wonderful patterns that will end up being the elements of the brushes?.....they are so effective and beautiful!!...thanks a lot.
"I... really luv... the paaaattern brush." Thanks to this video we discovered that Droopy is currently working as graphic designer. Thanks for this tut Droopy!
im a textile designer and I studied at pratt institute in ne york.you are a good teacher.I like the dry humor and slower way of taking things in.I think you are kind of sellin yourself out as far as "never being able to draw the pattern" you are defintely smart enough to figure it out but I think it kind of pointless if you can do it faster.you might want to try and transfer the image to a piece of paper and paint or draw the pattern in.This also translates wel into silkscreen or etching
Thanks for a easy to follow tutorial - your pace is right on the mark - I love the pattern tool and your examples do well to show the tool off in the best light.
Sorry that some YouTube users are giving you a hard time, I expect they have never created an online tutorial or even posted any video content online.
@quadrofolio i dont think he was on weed, it rather sounds as if half his face had been beaten off by a giant chimp..that might also explain his seclusion..better to use your last minutes of life handing down some vectorial knowledge than simply bleeding to death, the guy is national a hero and will be remembered as such..
quick question i'm having a hard time sending that black rectangle behind my vector i tried the keyboard shortcut and everything it just won't budge it keeps being in the front what should i do ? =[
You should not complain, I had one tutor refer to the 'circle' as a condom through the entire session! I don't think he ever realized what he was saying.
I had been tinkering with the pattern maker but you definitely taught me something new. Especially the idea on how to make things seamless. Thanks bro!
when i make a brush and try to use it as an outline, the pattern/brushes aren't flush. how do make it so it's flush like yours??? please help!

Well done instruction though, easy to follow. I like the humor included also, I mean I'm watching a youtube tutorial not attending a god damn lecture.

This guy should stop smoking a piound of weed before making a tutorial. Basically put me to sleep within 2 minutes. That is a skill in itself.

Just right-click>arrange>sendtoback
If your keyboard is set in other language than english, then some shortcuts won't work.
Also, check if everything is on the same layer :P

This comment has received too many negative votes show
a sphere is a 3 dimensional object.
a circle is a 2 dimensional object.
illustrator creates 2 dimensional objects.
therefore...
QUIT SAYING SPHERE WHEN YOU SHOULD BE SAYING CIRCLE!!!! GAHHH!!!!!!! YYYYAARRRGGGHH!!!!!
