This was when football was king in northwest Indiana...Valpo and Portage were powerhouse teams and could actually compete with the state's best....the 2001 Valpo team was the last to represent the "region" in the state finals in 5A...and Jeff would look REALLY good in a Chicago Bear uniform right now!
