Rodriguez may or may have not thrown the Pitt game, but one has to admit that it was pretty suspicious that RichRod had already been called by Michigan (who was not going to wait for a national championship), and there's no doubt that his mind was NOT on winning the Backyard Brawl. Look at the plays called. With the App State and Stanford upsets, the teams looked like they were trying to win. West Virginia, however, played the kind of vanilla you play when you have a six touchdown lead.

In 2009, not only will he have a talented team, but he will have one year of experience under his belt, his system will be more in-place, he has a fine staff, and Jarrett Brown is better for his system than Pat White. He is a great guy, and no one can love the program, the school, and the state more than he does. But, if WVU underachieves again, I think people should start considering what to do.
