  • So many factors contribute to thumb wraps finger size. neck thickness and wideness. string height action and that small distance from the edge of fretboard to the low e string.

  • anyone know where i can find tabs for this version?

  • @ShadowCloud143

They sell the DVD at Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop for around 25 bucks; it comes with tabs for all the songs that Kirtley teaches.

  • get on with it

  • I wouldn't of put quite like that but I do

know what you mean,I had one,I have a J45 now,

I'm sick of the sight of them.

  • they make good and bad like all

  • Taylor makes a great sounding, great playing guitar and I begrudge Bob Taylor nothing. But it does seem like they're everywhere. Plus there are hundreds of fine guitars out there that are not Taylors. My '66 J45 sounds better now than it did "in the day" even with most of the varnish gone from the sides. The back is like new, go figure.

  • Taylor t5 is pretty good, apart from that i wouldnt paly any other taylor,i personally prefer Larivee guitars

  • Who is "Mos Ragger"(?)

  • @paulkilroy

Mose Rager was a guitar player from Kentucky who pioneered in the thumbpicking style. Merle Travis learnt a lot from him.

  • Pat plays a Taylor 514ce...American Mahogany

  • What guitar play Pat?

  • Seems a Taylor. I don't know what model it is anyway.

  • Love that song and a great lesson.

    Thanks.
