@Anze491992 WTH song are you comparing this to.. most SoD has demonic sounding male growls, occasionally accompanied by lighter female vocals, which still sounds nothing like this. SoD's instrumentals are much slower, heavier, etc.

Liking both bands doesn't make them similar... Its like saying pizza and spaghetti are similar.. they both may technically use sauce, have meats in them, etc.. but they aren't the same at all.

Sorry but why are you talking about CyberGothic in a Death Dark Metal band song video?????? :S I really like a lot of musik, from rockn'pop to death metal :D (brutal death metal not cause sucks) and Gothic music is one of my favourites. I agree there's been a recent influx of the more mainstream bands adopting the growls, but to say outright that the genre is going to vanish because the "Trend" will pass just shows your ignorance and lack of sight.

Long while? Not really. That's all relative though. It can be a nice effect, but it is too over done. Bands like Opeth and Scar Symmetry use death vocals for emphasis and power. Too many bands use it as a cop-out for not being able to find a real vocalist. Like so many things in music, it is a trend. A few bands have success with it, and everyone copies, then fans get bored when the next big thing happens. Death vocals are a trend that shall pass and your kids will figure it's silly.

I don't know, I do prefer low screams in my metal. Dark The Suns, Insomnium, Human Error, Dark Tranquility but I guess it's my preference, and lets face it.. if you're a metal band, you have a low chance of "success" with or without growls and screams, so who cares? It's good music, enjoy it.
