  • Just wondering but what kind of focusing screen are you using, the hot spot is really noticable. You might want to get either get a new focusing screen I hear the Canon ee-s is the best I wouldnt know though I use a ee-a. Or you could just artificialy zoom in with your NLE. That would make the hot spot less noticable and the vignetting would be lowered or even gone. Anyways good work. Just turn the exposure down slightly I thought this took place in heaven it was so bright haha. Good work though

  • Haha that was sorta the look intended. Yeah the focusing screen was a 5 micron ground glass. I did not make the adapter, it is a jag35 static adapter. Yeah I was also wondering about the hotspotting, it was heavily noticeable. The lighting at the time was horrible since it was a really cloudy day but normally I don't think there is that much vignetting. How would I change the focusing screen? If I artificially zoom I would lose some sharpness :(.

  • Will an opteka achromat reduce the vignetting?

  • Yeah It will make the vig go away. You also need to buy some uv rings and pop the glass out so you can space the achromat farther away from the ground glass. I only need 2 rings for my adapter but most peopled need 4-7. The focusing screen I originally had blew. I just popped my old focusing screen out (it was glued in) and I put silicon glue around the edges of the gg holder and layed my new one in. It took about 5 hours to dry but. Canon focusing screens are made to have no hot spot.

  • Hmmm, I don't really know how to take the adapter apart though. Check out the jag35 site, maybe leave me a personal message on how to go about with this. So if I just get an achromat, will it be a lot less vignetting and less hotspotting? Or is it necessary to get a new gg as well?

  • wow, lol nice intro

haha and funny video very random!

  • this is funny as shit this is great vid 5/5 great idea for vid too

  • Thanks dude!

  • Cool video man, really like the music! :)

  • I've been wanting to get a 35mm adapter for a while. Nice shots bro.

  • Thanks man! Yeah its worth it. Just hard to keep dirt from goin on it. And its heavy so some shots are shakey. We are getting a shoulder mount for it so we could have more stable shots with the cam.

  • hMM YOU LOOK ENGLISH- IM ENGLISH!

  • no im canadian.

  • HEHE This makes me very happy!! =)

Good one. I love the lankiness of this guys limbs when he dances!

  • it's very cool! congrats by the way!

  • Thanks haha. Yeah nobody liked the result. But hey, there was a thriller element toward the end so I submitted and shared the video.

  • what you use to edit?

  • Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects. thanks!

  • The shots were really nice...But I didn't understand the story at all.

  • There was no story. None of these "I Killed My" films have story. Just eye candy and entertainment.

  • The story is that he killed his angry... derrr.

  • music done by meh.

  • the violence in this film hurts my virgin eyes.

  • nice man

you used your DOF perfectly in a number of shots, gave a really cool/unique look

  • haha 1:30...

    looks really nice

  • That would be the zoom lens. Too bad the lighting sucked that day and needed major color correction. Turned out ok though

  • awesome!@!!

  • lolol at 1:05 !

  • Fun stuff there!

  • .... guess who?

  • dude effin sweet!! and the gunshot looked so good! did you use detonationfilms for the gunshot and blood? or VCP?

  • I used action movie essentials muzzle flash. Heavily color corrected though in AE. Also added adjustment layer around the muzzle to create more brightness around the flash. The blood was also action movie essentials but heavily color corrected as well (turned exposure down, less saturation). I also used a dirt hit and turned it red for more effect.

  • fun!

  • bahaaa wooo! You used my gun instead of a BBQ lighter :D

(haha btw this is austin on my friends account.. too lazy to switch)
