  • Lisa is a beautiful woman with a gorgouis voice i just adore it very much. i hope 1 day ill meet her or see her in concert.

  • Does anyone have the translation?

  • @Icefire1497 You can find the translation on some videos of the Lisa Gerrard version on youtube :)

  • and love lisa kelly

  • sounds nice, but is better with the original singer LG, although my preferred singer is Loreena Mckenit

  • Thanks for the update on the latest special.

  • Por favor... Me digam que essa tá na lista do "Believe"!

  • This song worked so well on the Gladiator soundtrack, it really captured what that movie is all about and Lisa Kelly does a fantastic job singing it!

  • I have been listen to this song ever since I decided to enter the Pecos Monestary. It fits me perfect as I make my transition into a Franciscan. Anyone who truly enjoys this song is an Old Soul!!!

  • @gabriel999red but ill admit she duz have a good voice

  • @gabriel999red not nearly as sweet as lisa's

  • @gabriel999red I know which translation you mean, the makers have told it's a made-up one. This is no excisting language. Lisa Gerrard created it.

  • srry angel that she is

  • r u all crazy lisa gerrards is pitchy and she sings so low lisa sings high and sweet like the true angle that she is :D

  • @friendsaregreat100 Kurt Angle! oh it's true...It's true! I think you meant Angel. It's Gerrards song, but Lisa sings it very well.

  • @friendsaregreat100 I agree!

  • That's a sweet picture of Lisa Kelly. I added her to my video collection. It's true Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard made this song. I still enjoy Lisa Kelly's version. She has a lovely voice. I wish Celtic woman would do another PBS special. They are a most excellent singing group. Love everything about their PBS specials.

  • @robertslistening They are going to film a new special on 6 & 7th september in the Fox Theatre in Atlanta ;)

  • @TheGeantrai Excellent!

  • Check your local PBS station....their new show "Believe" claims to be the best yet! Should have started playing it around the country today!

  • To be honest I prefer Lisa Gerrad, I mean she created the song. She's the real owner and the real heart of the song and she can't be replaced

  • An example of a powerful singer who could literally sing words that do not exist, and still captivate your heart.

  • I love this song!

  • The "made up" language was in the song May it be. Lisa kelly is a wonderful singer.

Gladiator was the best movie to come out in at least 25 years and the music was perfect. Lisa Gerrad has a more haunting and flawed voice which was perfect for the movie version.

  • @wingmaster720

Actually the lyrics are in English and Gaelic.

  • @wingmaster720 This is not the same language as May It Be. May it Be was in Elvish, a language of J.R.R. Tolkien's invention. He created fourteen languages for his Middle-earth legendarium.

  • Her voice is too beautiful for words. So misty-eyed right now. The original can't be beat, of course, but this practically touches heaven itself.

  • pure talent!

  • Lisa Kelly is an angel :)

  • Sounds like elvish from LOTR haha

  • love her sound

  • i LOVE this female singer

    and i love this song

i do believe i heard this song [different version] on Gladiator soundtrack

  • Wow!

  • This is really beautiful. This singer obviously has her own special voice. She really does a good job. I imagine that few people could successfully approach Lisa Gerrard's vocal ability. I'm sure glad I checked this video out. To me, this song breaks the language barrier, rendering language useless. It speaks with pure emotion! Thanks! Lisa Kelly does a great job.

  • I actually prefer this version to the original. Lisa Kelly's voice is more pleasing to my ears, but I do like both versions. :3

  • This is the sort of music which sticks. Language has no importance, it's the feeling. the tune, our own thoughts. Nothing else matters. The Celtic Woman rises above language. We become embodied in a sound which is at once known, heartpiercing and something else unexplainable, perhaps spiritual. We are lost in a trance, and we stay there for a time, and I think that's what the point is.

  • Folks, one more time, this isn't sung in an excisting language like Herbrew or Irish. Lisa Gerrard has delevoped it from several languages and used her own words since she was a child. You can see it as something spiritual. She sings many of her songs in this language, like Come Tenderness, Serenity, The Valley of the Moon, Tempest.

  • @TheGeantrai Doesn't she sings that what the woman sang at gladiator? Then this is latine

  • @TheGeantrai its a language we christains call tongues

  • @friendsaregreat100 It actually has nothing to do with tongues. True tongues is usually not spoken intentionally by an individual. It's as if they are taken over and being used as a conduit for some form of message. Tongues is usually spoken in a known language also. That language may not be known by the person who is speaking it either. This is why many consider speaking in tongues a kind of miracle. This song is sung in a whimsical language, made up of several other languages.

  • Absolutely beautiful - listened to this over and over! love it!

  • So beautyful!

I will have them play this song at my funural cuz it is a sad song but still so strong!

  • Lisa Kelly version is much better than Gerrard's to me. Lisa Kelly's voice is heavenly and the intstruments don't make this song they just add to the mystique of her voice

  • @Rhett3blade : Agree with you. Lisa Gerrard's rendition, to e, is too lethargic. Seems she runs out of breath.

  • There are 10,000 words in the Irish language that have the same meaning as in Hebrew

  • to be honest , I really enjoy the version of Lisa Gerrard, also because of the instruments, but I this version is also lovelY!

I want the version of Lisa on my funeral! even though i'm 17 now, I know this will be the song at the end of my funeral!

  • @buffyxangelll Lisa Gerrard version is my favorite also :) Lisa Kelly's version is lovely, but Lisa Gerrard's version sends shivers down my spine.. I remember the first time I watched Gladiator, lump in my throat and emotional feelings. And I'm not easy to get emotional by movies.

  • excelente, bello y de ella ni se diga. LISA KELLY, SARAH BRITGMAN, ENYA

  • the most beautiful version of this song!!

  • so beatefull

  • This is a really beautiful version of the song. The other two versions done by Lisa Gerrard and Kelly Sweet are awesome, too...

  • This is from the movie The Gladiator starring Russell Crowe. Lisa didn't write or create the language, but she does a wonderful job singing it. :]

  • wow... amazing!

  • Irish-Australian, Lisa Gerard, wrote and sang this song with the soul of a True Celt, using the remnants of her ancestors language which live deep within her ... Lisa Kelly, of pure Irish ancestry, brings it to life with the richest vocals of any Celtic Woman on the planet, singing the song as a hymn to the Celtic world, with a resonance that haunts the soul like a winter's gale on the Irish Sea ...

  • lovely song...

  • wauw!!

  • beautiful voice :) great song :)

  • love it *-*

  • Very nice =)

    Amazing voice...

  • its not a made up language actually. it's bits of irish and a little bit of hebrew... i think. im only learning hebrew

  • Could be, that Lisa Gerrard mixed some languages. It isn't anway a excisting language.. :)

  • @konachanrpdcRAWR a lot of it is latin

  • Lisa's my favorite Celtic singer.

  • Lovely video! Lisa has a beautiful voice. I do agee with you, though, Lisa Gerrard's rendition is the best.
