Ive had the axis9s for about three years now and i think they are great,especially if you are only starting to dj,however after a while i started to notice some problems to but nothing too serious (apart from a dodgy play button) but if you are starting off and looking for a good cheap cd player then i highly recommend them.

I had the same problem. I now own two Pioneer CDJ-800s.

Get the SOFTWARE Update for this unit, It might Help. I went through 3 Numark Axis 9's and they each had different problems. One frozen like crazy. The other stuttered with Serato, and the newest one's loop butttons don't work.

i had these and they are great if you are a beginner but i out grew these babies quick! i had them for about 3 years and only some problems with them.... i threw these away as soon as i moved on up to pioneer!.. Ive never looked back since

I HAVE TO SAY THAT THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF KIT FOR THE BEGINNER OR INTERMEDIATE DJ,HOWEVER THEY DO TEND TO SUFFER TERRIBLY WITH SOFTWARE PROBLEMS & DECK FREEZE..RECALIBRATION USUALLY RECTIFIES THIS AS DOES A FIRMWARE UPGRADE... THE UPGRADE IS FREE FROM NUMARK. THE AXIS 9's ARE A SLIGHTLY BETTER VERSION BUT ALAS THEY STILL SUFFER WITH THE SAME UNDERLYING PROBLEM.SOMETHING I FEEL NUMARK SHOULD OF REALLY SORTED BEFORE SELLING TO THE PUBLIC.. DjShylo

Reply to Dj3m..Check your history mate... the Axis 8's were replaced by the axis 9 due to the 8's being suspect with software problems amongst other things... Although!! they were eventually phased out in favour of the new and improved Axis 9..However, they were quite popular decks when they were first released .The package I had came with the matrix 3 mixer in a suitcase carry all.. I owned a set when they first appeared on the market. Check with Numark if you still doubt me.Regards DjShylo

i agree. they are cheaper than the pioneer that's why it was difficult for me to buy 2 in a row but QUALITY still for me the most important thing. nothing is free man ! i worked very very hard to buy my own pioneers cdj's!!

i was invited to play for the NYE with this kind of shit. i was not satisfied by this product. the best still pionneer cdj 1000 and CDJ 800.

i have axis 9s and i have used them for two years!! i must admit one has frozen once but i turned it off and on again at it was fine! they have never let me down in clubs and have never had ne problems with them..

Wicked players for the price and you can do so much with them!!!

i bought a pair of axis 9s and in the first year of owning them i had 6 replacements and each time one went wrong it was a different problem. i have managed to sell them both now while they still work ....phew! good riddance to bad rubbish, my advice, stay away from axis 9s. if you do buy then buy new and recieve customer support and full warranty. avoid b-stock and old used units. finally good luck to all axis 9 owners out there.i hope yours are o.k.
