No way!!!! lol You can tweak the trigger levels and it gets a bit better, depending on what sound your using. I find it's good if your using the synth blended with guitar. It hides some of the mistracks and it's more forgiving. I think keyboard players are safe for a few more years. lol
my idea is to run it through my looping pedal and then use keys/synth settings to add to my backing track so i can sing/play over it. i play as a one man band so it'll be very helpful for giving me a more complete sound. what do u reckon? buy a godin or go for an external gk 20 pickup?
As long as the changes aren't to fast, it should be great! Some of the more "swelling" programs like Choirs and synth ensembles would really add texture without being to noticeable.
I've only played a few guitars with the GK2 so I'm no expert, but I would recommend the Godin based on it's other attributes. Great plugged in tone(the RMC polydrive 3 is the best whether you use the synth side or not), reasonable acoustic tone/volume, and great price.
@excusetheaccent Use the GK-3 pickup on another guitar. The Godins don't track all that great, and if you rest your palm on the bridge (like most of us) it will produce glitches.
I was just wondering, im trying to get one of these.
But im looking for a distinctive Synth sound very simular to What Jordan Rudess does, do you know if there are any like that in the GR-20(is it possible to program this)
Daryll, This is very nice. You do not realize how far you have advanced in the last year. At this rate think what you will be able to do this time next year!! lb
Thank's Lewis! I have wanted to do this one for a while but am only now able to. I have others that work in my head. Maybe by next year I'll be able to play them!
hi thats very good and could you tell me the notes you used to play that, thanks :)

hey so i dont see a gk3 pickup um can u play one without the gk3, and if so does it change the sound?????
ZaeYeL 3 years ago
My Multiac has a synth pick-up built in, so no need for a gk3. I can also blend the synth and guitar volumes.
