no dude, it takes place in the ruins of New Mombasa, after In Amber Clad followed the POR thru the portal in HALO 2. Unless the rest of halo 2 and halo 3 in it's entirety took only a small number of hours,(like, 3-4) then this all happening at THE SAME TIME AS THE REST OF HALO 2! The ODST you play as is out for 3 or 4 hours, and then the game takes course over the next 12. Shell was also KINDA wrong, but a great deal less than you.YOU sir, are the stupid one. Halo 3 Recon is going to be a standalone disc that includes a mini campaign, multiplayer maps, and some other goodies bungie is yet to inform us of. You play as the last surviving ODST drop trooper whose goal is to use shadow and wit to kill the occupying brutes and retake the city of New Mombasa. Rumors say its 3rd person but Bungie denys this. Hope that clears up some stuff.

All sparten 2 soldiers where the MJOLNIR armor (its armor u where in halo 3) also for chaos angel. There wont be a new sparten, master chief isnt a side character, and teh prohpets are dead. Bungie wouldnt change it. It has always been on the story line. And since the prophet is dead the arbitor is now relaxing in the elite homeworld (which has a name but is hell some random assortment of letters and accents). Also they werent enhanced as in chemicals help them b better. Like vitamins
