Ok .. my take on the Tim Tam Slam ... firstly ... freeze the Tim Tams (they hold together better). My personal favourites are the dark chocolate Tim Tams and I do the slam with a hot cup of real brewed coffee - not the instant stuff. Just remember to be quick when shoving it in your mouth or it's likely to fall apart in your hands and create a mess.

no no no.. Tim Tams are so much better than Oreos. They're a chocolate biscuit 'sandwich' with choc filling and then the whole lot is coated in Chocolate.

The reason the "Tim Tam Orgasm" works so well is that the outer layer of chocolate holds it all together and allows the tea/coffee to go up through the centre, as is drinking through a straw.

Shame they're illegal in the US. You guys are really missing out!!

It works best with a hot drink because it melts its way through the chocolate/biscuit/creme and thus breaks away the second it reaches your tougue. Hot chocolate made with full milk is great if you like it to hit you hard. coffee and tea are also great. try adding a little bailey's to your coffee for a special treat!

Belive it or not, Tim Tam is very popular within the Israeli army, and doing the strew thing is like an unofficial army tradition (I actually thought we invented it.. bummer..) The only difference is that in Israel it's done using hot cofee, thus creating a divine combination of bitter and sweet...

That's why I don't get the point of doing it with tea, which is already sweetened and less thick than cofee..
