For instance: Doing a backside 180 to fakie nosgrind switch 180 out is A LOT harder if the grind is for a fraction of a second as opposed to a few seconds because with a long grind, all you have to do is lean forward and you have more time to set up for the 180 out, short grind are fast paced and give you very little time to set up, making it harder.

and if you're going for a fakie halcab crooked grind 180 out its also easier to do them fast cause it's all one motion.

Actually your wrong. Its WAY easier to do a quick grind with a 180 out especially if its a BS 180 to Switch 50 to switch 180 out. Your shoulders are already turned to do the switch 180 the second you get into that trick. Obviously if you grind longer it looks better style wise but most people don't do it that way because it requires more balance and to do it without your nose touching the ledge is even harder.
