No, just the idea for this edited commercial. I just thought it would be amusing to replace the Sega CD elements and game clips from this commercial with Saturn clips. Kind of wish it had turned out better, but I can't do much about it now.
Well, there are two sequels to Panzer Dragoon Zwei; Panzer Dragoon Saga which is an RPG set in the Panzer Dragoon universe, and then there's Panzer Dragoon Orta for the Xbox (originally the Dreamcast, but Sega didn't have enough time or money to finish/publish it before becoming a third-party developer) which came out a number of years later, but follows a similar style of gameplay to Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon Zwei; it was made when Sega was still actually Sega and in their prime.
Poor Sega is lost and confused right now, I think. It's a shame to see a once powerful and influential gaming company reduced to no more than a third-party developer. They kind of brought it upon themselves with their poor management and marketing decisions, though...
Still, nothing will prevent me from enjoying my Sega consoles, and as long as I have those, Sega will live on in my heart.
well they aren't doing too bad... as of right now they have the two best games on the nintendo wii ( the biggest selling console of this generation) actually in my opinion they have the only two good games on the wii. hey, i heard a rumour that sega is supposed to team up with namco and make a virtua fighter vs tekken kind of game sort of like what capcom, snk, marvel, mortal kombat dc universe did over the past few years. I think that would be cool.
I still play my Saturn, but the truth is you have to go with the Japanese console and games, I truly hated the American stuff. Also trust me when you set it right like with my convertor to Projector, it actually looks and plays much nicer than even these newer systems on a HDTV, which is why Sega was always the master of "Arcades" (and the saturn has 3 processors 2 for video and 1 for audio) unlike these 1 processor cheap PC wanna be's with MP3 sound, just aweful!!!
Your better off daydreaming about a Last Bronx vs. Soul Calibur before we would ever see a Virtual Fighter vs Tekken. First off Tekken is a Sony exclusive, second the engine and fighting modes are totally different, and nobody with half a mind is gonna compromise to be like the other.
what does sony have to do with anything, virtua fighter vs tekken was supposed to be for the arcade... also, the fighting modes doesn't matter, look how capcop vs snk used the snk system... and in fighters megamix you can choose between VF3 or fighting vipers systems.... not to mention sega, nintendo, and namco apparently teamed up and made an arcade console together that can support network and online gaming.
I don't think you understand, let me tell you (considering I worked for Sega for over 15 years) VF is a 2 button fighting game that uses punch kick (just like fighting vipers, etc.) Tekken uses 4 (L/R punch L/R kick) the designs of these patents wouldn't change using the licensed names. There is much more but I"m limited on words here, but secondly Nintendo doesn't bother in arcades, nor does Sega need to merge with anyone to do so... so that's nonsense
any contracts you think Sega has with Namco haven't been valid for over nearly a decade now. Where do you get these daydreaming ideas from???? Currently Sega has it's own arcade board (called the RingEdge/RingWide) which does all that and will be in use for many years to come without Nintendo's or anyone elses help. Have you forgotten Nintendo needed Sega's help to bring their Wii (dreamcast wannabe) system some life, who out their right mind thinks Sega needs their worthless help? esp. w/arcade
but back to your Virtua Fighter vs Tekken deal, I actually remember now having that bootleg rom for some genesis emulator or something small bit, I assure you it was not a licensed game, nor was it ever an arcade idea... but nice try
don't worry not only do they have the hottest games out now, but this whole year will be pouring in, which is why we are pushing for the new system on their currently newly licensed arcade board patents (also for home system) considering these current systems are what is failing in smooth game performance. March 4th is the new After Burner by the way, and it's beautiful. Of course we have currently Bayonetta, Yakuza and sega All Star Racing, infact Sega makes the most games..not movie players
that's really unfair, you know when people ask after I tell them the arcade power of the Saturn why didn't the Dreamcast go all out with 3 processors and a video player (like the saturns VCD card) the truth is at that time all that in 128bit would have cost you thousands, so yeah they had to make it simple and affordable, while the rest waited to cut corners and time by bs'ng their way with broken promises of a movie console, which today is worthless...and it shows.
No. I'm good.
