Why do you insist that Catholics who speak about biological facts of sexual anatomy, are spreading "scorn, hostility, fear and hatred"?
You are wrong. Telling someone that they are wrong is not hating the person, it's showing them the facts.
Aardweg talks about homosexuals that want to play the victim in a grand tragedy where everyone is out to get them. Yes there are people who hate gays but the pope and Catholics who follow the pope do not number among them.

Your neurosis makes you guys all act the same. "if I imply that I think he is gay, I'll trigger his homophobia and he will cower and hide".
You have a neurosis. You either suffer from gender identity disorder, gender inferiority disorder, your father didn't love you enough, your mother used contraception which frustrated her pheromone production which messed up your testosterone production, or you were molested as a child.

Here's a clue: If you're going to use the "reply" function to address what I've said, than you might want to, actually ADDRESS something I've said.
Your are rantings are absurd and irrelevant. They say more than anything that you feel small and threatened. I've just spoken about the absurdity of this kind of haughty subjectivity, and you "reply" in a way that proves my entire point.
Your extravagant didactic shows that you have a capacity for edifying intellectual dialogue. You should be commended for that and you should take pride in your achievements. But using your words to advance a homosexual lifestyle is destructive for our society and you should be affronted for those actions. You don't want equal rights you want blind acceptance of your disordered desire. You don't want to hear an opposing voice because that voice is intelligent and properly condemns homogenital acts
1) Huh? I know you didn't say i was wise, you said YOU were--that was the point of that message--that's what I was addressing.
2) Amusing jump to Hitler (didn't see that one coming).
3) Ok, OK, I give in: You know the word "didactic". Here's your gold star! I repeat what a "wise" boy you've proven yourself to be! Thanks for assisting me in perfectly making my case for me.
You know when you have to actually SAY to others that you have (or present) an intelligent voice, you don't really sound that secure, or convincing. Wisdom in arguments is something that is apparent--not something that is pre-announced "this is a wise arguement and it will win..." That's the modern democratic, and scientific, standard at least. This is not "Catholic world": If you're going to broadcast openly, you should be prepared to discuss objectively, and rationally.
I will reply to the fact that you are trying to change the argument I set forth in this video and now you are trying to accuse me of not staying on topic.
The homosexual movement is demonizing the intelligent voices that speak against it. You don't want dialogue you want ignorance and caricatures that you can laugh at and wright off.
You don't represent catholic teaching as it is really stated. You warp it into something nobody would like and then pretend that you've been objective.
You'll say that Ratzinger marginalizes homosexuals but you won't cite where he does this. Where does he do this?
Your lack of citation is proof that you only want ignorant acceptance of your views. You are an intolerant hateful person who spreads ignorance. The pope wants dialogue. The pope does not want you to shut up. The pope encourages Catholics to always engage in dialogue, even with slander artists like yourself. Why? because you reveal yourself to be an intolerant wolf the more you talk.
This is totally absurd. Why don't YOU do some work yourself, if you actually have any interest in objective reality. This is transparent.
You've got attacks to make against people? YOU back them up.
Must be nice to be able to be comfortable blindly dismissing vast swaths of humanity and still believe you're portraying yourself as intellectual: To the rational world this kind of nonsense appears patently absurd. You sound like a crazy cult member. My whole point here has been--objectivity.
What kind of work would you like me to do? Read studies or talk to people who suffer from SSA? Would you like me to monitor a dysfunctional GB gene in fruit flies? Or am I not going to understand SSA until I've been sexually molested? Do I need to be socially awkward growing up or do I need to be rejected by my father?
How about I do what the pope teaches and love the person suffering from SSA and continue right on learning the facts about SSA. That sounds like the most reasonable solution.
Telling you that homogenital acts are unnatural and wrong is not attacking you. It is pointing out the fact that your sexual anatomy was made to work with the sexual anatomy of a female.
Pointing out the staggering statistics of people who suffer from SSA because they were molested, is not hating you. Pointing out the staggering number of gays who molest children is not hating you. Pointing out that it is a vicious circle of neurosis is not hating gays.
You see the fact is that you don't hate Catholic teaching. How can you hate something that you haven't even read? You hate Catholics because they want to help people who suffer from same sex attraction. And you are addicted to your attraction. That is why you are being unreasonable.
Your addiction blinds you and makes you intolerant. It makes you demonize those who are doing good. It causes you to make up stories about those who are doing good.
There is a biological fact that stands in the way of your emotional attachment to same sex attraction. Your sexual anatomy. Engaging in homogenital acts renders your sex organs to be infertile. Even though your body functions properly your mind is telling you to abuse your body by engaging in homogenital acts.
This neurosis has many similarities with the neurosis of anorexia. Once a person gets it in their mind that they want something that contradicts reality and nature, it takes time to change
The fact here is that homosexuals want to demonize Pope Benedict without even having read any of his writings. This is wrong because they are developing hateful opinions about him based on rumors being spread by other homosexuals. Your opinions are based on rumors and not facts. You are intolerant and you spread ignorance, hate, and fear about the pope.
The pope wants Catholics to be understanding of what same sex attracted people are going through. We can't condone the actions but we can love.
Fair-minded and socially conscious people "demonize", as you term it, Ratzinger, precisely because of Ratzingers long notoriety for his personal efforts for the repression and oppression of gay and lesbian people--including his public advocacy for their civic and political marginalization within their own home countries.
What is wrong with you you can't process this??? Take a look in the mirror before you you start criticizing innocent people. Who are you fooling?
Seriously though, why the compulsion to try to dominate others with such absurdly subjective and defensively arrogant nonsense? "The Pope" huh?
Allow me to make a generalization to demonstrate a point about objective morality: As a rule, gay and lesbian people are not notorious for intruding into the lives of others to gratuitously advocate for their civic and social marginalization. Ratzinger his ridiculously politicized sycophants, on the other hand...
Wow... "Never read an encyclical."-- oh, surely not! How truly sad this is. Why don't you get a life of your own and try to enjoy a pastime that actually DOESN'T involve tormenting and demeaning already-marginalized minorities, or trying to regiment and control your fellow citizens with primitive, superstitious, demonstrably corrupt fascism. It seems--based on your pleasant, humble, elevated and non-defensive demeanor--to have done so much for you personally, hasn't it?
Your video was good as far as that headzup up thing was stupid. But i must say that you have to acknowledge the fact that homosexuality is a very complex thing for homosexuals and when they hear,"oh read this book," it's as if you are assuming they haven't read them or haven't tried to overcome it or tried to change it or haven't sought out people to get help with no luck. You make some good points, but you need to show more sensitivity and less personal frustration or your words fall on deaf ears.
but I make these videos in order to combat the hardened homosexuals that are the majority. I started out being nice and I was not shown the same courtesy. They just assassinated my character and then wrote me off as a closet homosexual. Now my videos stir them to read articles in an attempt to prove me wrong. These videos also rally heterosexuals who are sitting on the fence on this issue. I can't be everything for everyone. Some of my videos are nicer like "chastity"
This is one of the best videos I have seen on YouTube. You said EXACTLY what needs to be said. And you found words to say it that were extremely clear and effective, yet still charitable. BRAVO! I can only pray that people watch the whole video and don't just stop it after a minute or so. The devil hates to lose souls that he thinks he has won, and this video will be an effective agent for storming his inner rooms and reaching those in most need of the truth. Carry the banner!
Let me make this easier for all who want to weigh in on the topic of Galileo.
The events took place in the 1600s If you want to provoke my interest in what you have to say then you will quote from documents that were written in and around the time of 1633.
If you're going to quote John Paul II then please quote HIM and not a newspaper headline.
The "truth" about Catholicism's history: condemning all Jews to hell in 1205 AD; worship and deification of saints, The Crusades, The Inquisition, the persecution of Galileo, extinguishing the Aztec culture, signing the Lateran Treaty with Mussolini, collaboration with the Nazi government, and assisting with the escape of former Nazis after WWII; Last but most certainly not least - the cover up of black collar sex crimes against countless altar boys by relocating guilty priests elsewhere.
Sounds like somebody has been reading the discredited scholarship of Loraine Boettner & getting their Q&A's from Chick Comics. It's hard sometimes to tell the Atheist Fundies from the "Religious" ones these days.
Sounds like someone is in denial of Catholicism's *REAL* history, and unable to prove that any of what I had listed is wrong. For every Christian who says that they are all about "peace and love," there are a dozen more who want to kill me for being an Atheist.
So you are an Atheist Fundie. I would have never guessed since you & Chick Comics crowd all sound the same & believe in the same wacko conspiracy theories. I'm sure you guys get along well with the 9/11 Truth people, holocaust deniers & those who believe in Roswell.
"Wacko theories" are what you believe in: Virgins giving birth, the Earth created in 7 days, and some hippie who raised from the dead. Believe in biblical insanity if you want, but one day scientific fact will rip ancient superstitions apart.
The Church has NEVER taught the Earth was created in six literal days. In fact St. Irenaeus, St Justin, Origen, & St Augustine DID NOT interpret the days as literal 24 hour days. BTW Science is not logically possible in an Atheistic Universe. You are just retarded.
That's right, whenever the bible gets proven wrong you Christers just put a "misinterpretation" spin on it, just like Christers will be doing 100 years from now when gays have equal rights. That is, if Christianity will still be around by then. Science and Atheism goes hand in hand, whereas all you have is blind faith. Have you considered suing your brain for lack of support?
Or rather, you relativists just take the bible and teach erroneous things about it. The Catholics wrote the new testament and compiled the whole bible. Only the Catholics have the authority to interpret it. Where has Catholic teaching EVER TAUGHT that the earth was created in a literal 7 days?
jamesms4 has provided you with the writings of the earliest christian writings. Anything you claim would have to come way after that. Try protestant try separated from the TRUTH.
The Bible wasn't proven wrong Rather a specific interpretation of It which many ancient Christians(Irenaeus etc) never held too was called into question. Science has nothing to do with Atheism since the assumptions behind science are theistic based. Atheism leads to a belief in a magical universe.
Additional: Some of the Church Fathers like St. Basil taught the days of creation where literal 24 hour days of course. YOU fundie that you are, rely on the English translation not the Hebrew. The word for day in Genesis is Yom & it has been used to refer to time periods other than 24h in the Bible.
Either prove to me that I believe in those conspiracies that you listed, or be man enough to admit that you didn't the facts before you opened your mouth.
The church condemning the Jews to Hell in 1205? That's a new one. Other than that you have not made any SPECIFIC charges you have just thrown out a bunch of anti-Catholic buzz words in scattershot. Pick one topic from the list & will make you my retorical bitch because clearly you are of an inferior intellect.
First off, your responses prove that Christers are hypocrites. You're overflowing with hate and intolerance because people like me are a threat to your religion, because if we're right then you aren't going to heaven.
I haven't made any specific charges?!? I made an entire list and you haven't even scratched one of them. They're all true, and you know it otherwise you would have proven me wrong. If ignorance were a disability, you'd get the full pension.
Have you heard of Giordano Bruno? In 1600, the Christian authorities in Rome took him out of the dungeon he had been in for eight years, put a nail thru his tongue, tied him to a metal post, put wood and some of his books under his feet, and burned him. Brunos crime was writing that Earth revolves around the sun, the sun is a star, there might be other worlds with other intelligent beings on them, Jesus didnt possess god-like power, and souls cant go to Heaven.
I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim the Church condemned Jews to Hell in 1205. Which is stupid since everyone who studies theology knows ONLY GOD can send someone to Hell. Not even the Pope, even if he excommunicates you, can do that. That's theology 101. You are just retarded.
1205: Pope Innocent III wrote to the archbishops of Sens and Paris that "the Jews, by their own guilt, are consigned to perpetual servitude because they crucified the Lord...As slaves rejected by God, in whose death they wickedly conspire, they shall by the effect of this very action, recognize themselves as the slaves of those whom Christ's death set free..."
Where does this quote (which is clearly NOT a doctrinal decree) say Jews are condemned to Hell? Clearly you are too retarded to back up your claims. Nice try thought.
Giordano Bruno was not executed for teaching Copernican theory. He was executed by the secular authorities for Atheism & doctrinal heresy. Aristotle argued a "plurality of worlds" was impossible BUT In 1277, a synod of bishops in France condemned this view. You are just retarded & don't know your history. You are arguing SCATERSHOT shot. Throwing whatever mud you can to see what will stick. You are not impressive.
Giordan Bruno, stating to his Catholic Church judge, Jesuit Cardinal Robert Bellarmine, said that "I neither ought to recant, nor will I." Even a death sentence handed down by the Catholic Church did not change his attitude as he defiantly told his accusers, "In pronouncing my sentence, your fear is greater than mine in hearing it."
BTW dude it's spelled "scattershot." You *ARE* impressive...at being an ass!
I make no pretense to being able to spell correctly. My spelling sucks as badly as your ignorant & asinine fundamentalist polemic. BTW Church trials where separate from the secular one. So when Bruno was found guilty of heresy by the Church he could ONLY be excommunicated. They then turned him over to the SECULAR authorities which gave him a trial(with less rights then the Church gave). You are just to retarded & ignorant of history to comment with any authority. But at least you can spell.
The people with the original documents aren't the ones spinning history here. You make up stories that didn't exist in history until YOU made them up. That's why we Catholics look to original documents from historical events that we didn't live during.
You mean to tell me that the John Paul didn't apologize in 1992 for the persecution of Galileo? Are you denying the charges made against Catholic priests for molesting boys?
Catholicism tries to spin or cover-up the church's *REAL* history, and anyone who exposes them is attacked by the so-called love filled Christians (take a look at JamesMS4's responses). Considering that Catholics have an emotional attachment to the church, they believe anything that the Pope tells them.
You are quoting a headline. Did you read the actual apology or are you, like so many drones, one of those headline readers who think they know everything because they read a headline?
You still haven't answered my question about Galileo being persecuted by the Church, or the fact that the Pope apologized for his persecution. 1992 is quite a long time for the Church to finally admit that Galileo was right.
You dare call me a drone, and yet you take everything what the Church teaches about pedophile priests (not to mention everything else)? Do you take everything given to you from the Church at face value, or can you think about it for yourself?
Galileo wasn't right, Copernicus was right. Galileo just found the conclusive evidence. And just like when the model changed to "interlocking spheres"
Just like when someone posited a model to explain retrograde motion in the zodiac. Just like when we departed from the idea of Ether causing everything to move. We have to test everything. Galileo was impatient.
Fr. Copernicus taught helo theory 100 years before Galileo & nobody gave him flak & he received honors from the Pope. Heliocentricism wasn't proven scientifically true til 19 century using the Fulcrum Pendulum(invented by a Catholic Fulcrum). In 1824 the Vatican gave a Priest permission to teach helo theory as a fact because of the discoveries of science. Galileo didn't prove his claims. He science was bad. You are just retarded.
Well Skylinesandsunsets, What of ALL THE TEACHINGS OF THE POPES should Catholics not follow?
Cite to me even 1 teaching that the pope has taught that a Catholic should not follow because it is in error.
What has the pope ever taught that was wrong, I'd love to know. Please enlighten me because I've been reading volumes and volumes of papal teaching. Which one is intellectually wrong?
What teaching from any pope, goes against reason? What teaching goes against natural law?
I submit to you that there has never been a teaching from a pope that has been inconsistent with the Roman Catholic Faith for 2000 years. The burden of proof is on you. I can't prove you wrong if you can't cite an instance of fallibility.
Not really. He had a fair trial. His scientific evidence was nonsense. Science had to wait for Fulcrum to invent the Pendulum which was used to prove the Earth moved in the 19th century. Also I read in the Paper of Priests(& PS teachers & others) getting arrested for crimes of molestation. you are just retarded for claiming Priests are never arrested. The Nightly News tells me different.
So, are you telling me that the day Galileo saw with his eyes, what Copernicus predicted by math. Galileo should be blindly followed with out testing his conclusions? We should throw scientific procedure out the window because Galileo is throwing a temper tantrum? What kind of scientist are you?
Galileo was PERSECUTED for his finding that the Earth revolved around the sun, was forced by the Pope to admit in public that he was wrong, but it was rumored that he murmured under his voice "but it *DOES* move." Fast forward to 1992, and the Pope finally admits that Galileo was RIGHT and apologizes for his persecution.
Galileo wrote his finding in Italian, which the average man could read, not in Latin which was only accessible to scholars.
I've studied the evolution of astronomy and I've read the original documents surrounding Galileo's findings. There were people in the church who agreed with Galileo, there were people who were skeptical, there were people who disagreed. One thing is certain, when Galileo opened his mouth and started saying bad things about his bishop he lost all supporters.
They ALL come from non-Catholic sources. Voxday who is a Protestant cites them in his book THE IRRATIONAL ATHEIST. You OTOH take all you info from anti-Catholic Fundamentalist Christian sources. That's pretty pathetic for an Atheist.
Now let's look at how atheists portray this. Atheists make it sound like there was this whole mess of people who were behind Galileo and that there was this uneducated, archaic church oppressing the people and trying to keep the people stupid. What are the facts?
The fact is that Galileo studied at the university of Paris (A Roman Catholic University) The Church also built numerous other universities. Galileo was Catholic, his teachers were catholic and his co-astronomers were all catholic.
It comes as no surprise that he was Catholic, since he was indoctrinated into Catholicism from birth. I was born and raised a Catholic, and I didn't even know about Atheism until I was 18 when I learned about it in Christian Apologetic class. Rather than listening to 40 minutes of a priest teach his version, I actually took some of the Atheist material that he presented and read it, instead of just dismissing it.
If you want to be Catholic, I can co-exist with you. No problem.
Can you really "co-exist" with me? Because atheists are the most intolerant people on the face of the earth. They want everyone to just agree with them and they don't want to provide any original historical documents that back up the claims of their religion.
Yes, I can and do co-exist with people of all faiths (including Catholics). What I consider true intolerance are things like school prayer and ten commandments on courtrooms. That's being forcefull.
I don't care if you agree with me, all I want from you is to listen. I don't agree with you that Atheism is a religion, but you have the right to your opinion. I dare say that it's much harder to be Atheist in America.
For what it's worth, I do appreciate you keeping this debate clean.
Galileo was a jerk to those disagreed with him &he may have plagiarized some of his material from a prominent Jesuit Astronomer of his day which won him enemies. Technically Galileo was wrong the Sun is NOT the center of the Universe merely the Solar System. In 1824 the Vatican allowed heliocentracism to be taught because the current science proved it. Galileo DID NOT. His science was retarded like you.
At least 77 others were either burned or hanged by the Inquisition. Over the centuries, millions were killed for heresy (which often meant simply being the wrong type of Christian). Sometimes it was more explicit heresy which threatened the church's lock on truth. The Italian freethinker Lucilio Vanini suggested that humans evolved from apes. In 1618 he was tried in France and found guilty of atheism and witchcraft. He had his tongue cut out, hanged, and his body was burned
Lucilio Vanini was put to death by the secular authorities for teaching Atheism. Much like Stalin put religious people to death for teaching Theism. You are confusing secular civil law, with the inquisition & Church Law (which would NOT have executed him by given him penance). You are just retarded.
The part where I echo Dr. Van den Aardweg and call SSA a neurosis?
Where I point out that human sexual anatomy is only complementary between opposite genders?
Where I point out how rude "homosexuals" are to people who seek help to fix their SSA?
You'll have to explain what you mean by "hateful" because I have no intention of being "hateful" and every intention of being helpful. I have posted many links on the side of this vid in order to be helpful.
Chill dude. Is it possible ukcatholic is referring to the foul treatment of the Pope gays as "hateful"? Logically if one looks at the video & hears you talk about gays abusing old ladies because they support Prop 8 & paint nazi symbols on Churches that would be hateful.
This guy's tube page is prolife I doubt he's a supporter of the gay agenda. Think about it. Cheers son.

Why? because you reveal yourself to be an intolerant wolf the more you talk.
thealphacrow 2 years ago
This is totally absurd. Why don't YOU do some work yourself, if you actually have any interest in objective reality. This is transparent.
You've got attacks to make against people? YOU back them up.
Must be nice to be able to be comfortable blindly dismissing vast swaths of humanity and still believe you're portraying yourself as intellectual: To the rational world this kind of nonsense appears patently absurd. You sound like a crazy cult member. My whole point here has been--objectivity.
cpmkw 2 years ago
What kind of work would you like me to do? Read studies or talk to people who suffer from SSA? Would you like me to monitor a dysfunctional GB gene in fruit flies? Or am I not going to understand SSA until I've been sexually molested? Do I need to be socially awkward growing up or do I need to be rejected by my father?
How about I do what the pope teaches and love the person suffering from SSA and continue right on learning the facts about SSA. That sounds like the most reasonable solution.
thealphacrow 2 years ago
What "attacks" cpmkw?
Telling you that homogenital acts are unnatural and wrong is not attacking you. It is pointing out the fact that your sexual anatomy was made to work with the sexual anatomy of a female.
Pointing out the staggering statistics of people who suffer from SSA because they were molested, is not hating you. Pointing out the staggering number of gays who molest children is not hating you. Pointing out that it is a vicious circle of neurosis is not hating gays.
thealphacrow 2 years ago
You see the fact is that you don't hate Catholic teaching. How can you hate something that you haven't even read? You hate Catholics because they want to help people who suffer from same sex attraction. And you are addicted to your attraction. That is why you are being unreasonable.
thealphacrow 2 years ago
Your addiction blinds you and makes you intolerant. It makes you demonize those who are doing good. It causes you to make up stories about those who are doing good.
Cite an actual Catholic teaching why don't you?
thealphacrow 2 years ago
There is a biological fact that stands in the way of your emotional attachment to same sex attraction. Your sexual anatomy. Engaging in homogenital acts renders your sex organs to be infertile. Even though your body functions properly your mind is telling you to abuse your body by engaging in homogenital acts.
This neurosis has many similarities with the neurosis of anorexia. Once a person gets it in their mind that they want something that contradicts reality and nature, it takes time to change
thealphacrow 2 years ago
The fact here is that homosexuals want to demonize Pope Benedict without even having read any of his writings. This is wrong because they are developing hateful opinions about him based on rumors being spread by other homosexuals. Your opinions are based on rumors and not facts. You are intolerant and you spread ignorance, hate, and fear about the pope.
The pope wants Catholics to be understanding of what same sex attracted people are going through. We can't condone the actions but we can love.
thealphacrow 2 years ago
Fair-minded and socially conscious people "demonize", as you term it, Ratzinger, precisely because of Ratzingers long notoriety for his personal efforts for the repression and oppression of gay and lesbian people--including his public advocacy for their civic and political marginalization within their own home countries.
What is wrong with you you can't process this??? Take a look in the mirror before you you start criticizing innocent people. Who are you fooling?
cpmkw 2 years ago
Comment, pt. 2:

You make some good points, but you need to show more sensitivity and less personal frustration or your words fall on deaf ears.
dmajorhiphopproducer 3 years ago
I apologize to you dmajor,
but I make these videos in order to combat the hardened homosexuals that are the majority. Some of my videos are nicer like "chastity"
thealphacrow 3 years ago

Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Sounds like somebody has been reading the discredited scholarship of Loraine Boettner & getting their Q&A's from Chick Comics. It's hard sometimes to tell the Atheist Fundies from the "Religious" ones these days.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Sounds like someone is in denial of Catholicism's *REAL* history, and unable to prove that any of what I had listed is wrong. For every Christian who says that they are all about "peace and love," there are a dozen more who want to kill me for being an Atheist.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
So you are an Atheist Fundie. I would have never guessed since you & Chick Comics crowd all sound the same & believe in the same wacko conspiracy theories. I'm sure you guys get along well with the 9/11 Truth people, holocaust deniers & those who believe in Roswell.
>there are a dozen more who want to kill me
That's not a sign of paranoia now is it?;-)
jamesms4 3 years ago
"Wacko theories" are what you believe in: Virgins giving birth, the Earth created in 7 days, and some hippie who raised from the dead. Believe in biblical insanity if you want, but one day scientific fact will rip ancient superstitions apart.
Guess I won't be in your prayers tonight!
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
The Church has NEVER taught the Earth was created in six literal days. In fact St. Irenaeus, St Justin, Origen, & St Augustine DID NOT interpret the days as literal 24 hour days. BTW Science is not logically possible in an Atheistic Universe. You are just retarded.
jamesms4 3 years ago
That's right, whenever the bible gets proven wrong you Christers just put a "misinterpretation" spin on it, just like Christers will be doing 100 years from now when gays have equal rights. That is, if Christianity will still be around by then. Science and Atheism goes hand in hand, whereas all you have is blind faith. Have you considered suing your brain for lack of support?
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Or rather, you relativists just take the bible and teach erroneous things about it. The Catholics wrote the new testament and compiled the whole bible. Only the Catholics have the authority to interpret it. Where has Catholic teaching EVER TAUGHT that the earth was created in a literal 7 days?
jamesms4 has provided you with the writings of the earliest christian writings. Anything you claim would have to come way after that. Try protestant try separated from the TRUTH.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
The Bible wasn't proven wrong Rather a specific interpretation of It which many ancient Christians(Irenaeus etc) never held too was called into question. Science has nothing to do with Atheism since the assumptions behind science are theistic based. Atheism leads to a belief in a magical universe.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Additional: Some of the Church Fathers like St. Basil taught the days of creation where literal 24 hour days of course. YOU fundie that you are, rely on the English translation not the Hebrew. The word for day in Genesis is Yom & it has been used to refer to time periods other than 24h in the Bible.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Either prove to me that I believe in those conspiracies that you listed, or be man enough to admit that you didn't the facts before you opened your mouth.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
You're telling me that none of the stuff that I listed happen? Exactly who discredited it? Some Vatican spin doctor, no doubt.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
The church condemning the Jews to Hell in 1205? That's a new one. Other than that you have not made any SPECIFIC charges you have just thrown out a bunch of anti-Catholic buzz words in scattershot. Pick one topic from the list & will make you my retorical bitch because clearly you are of an inferior intellect.
jamesms4 3 years ago
First off, your responses prove that Christers are hypocrites. You're overflowing with hate and intolerance because people like me are a threat to your religion, because if we're right then you aren't going to heaven.
I haven't made any specific charges?!? I made an entire list and you haven't even scratched one of them. They're all true, and you know it otherwise you would have proven me wrong. If ignorance were a disability, you'd get the full pension.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
You haven't made ANY specific charges till I called you out on it. All your "charges" are mindless buzz words.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Have you heard of Giordano Bruno? In 1600, the Christian authorities in Rome took him out of the dungeon he had been in for eight years, put a nail thru his tongue, tied him to a metal post, put wood and some of his books under his feet, and burned him. Brunos crime was writing that Earth revolves around the sun, the sun is a star, there might be other worlds with other intelligent beings on them, Jesus didnt possess god-like power, and souls cant go to Heaven.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim the Church condemned Jews to Hell in 1205. Which is stupid since everyone who studies theology knows ONLY GOD can send someone to Hell. Not even the Pope, even if he excommunicates you, can do that. That's theology 101. You are just retarded.
jamesms4 3 years ago
1205: Pope Innocent III wrote to the archbishops of Sens and Paris that "the Jews, by their own guilt, are consigned to perpetual servitude because they crucified the Lord...As slaves rejected by God, in whose death they wickedly conspire, they shall by the effect of this very action, recognize themselves as the slaves of those whom Christ's death set free..."
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Where does this quote (which is clearly NOT a doctrinal decree) say Jews are condemned to Hell? Clearly you are too retarded to back up your claims. Nice try thought.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Giordano Bruno was not executed for teaching Copernican theory. He was executed by the secular authorities for Atheism & doctrinal heresy. Aristotle argued a "plurality of worlds" was impossible BUT In 1277, a synod of bishops in France condemned this view. You are just retarded & don't know your history. You are arguing SCATERSHOT shot. Throwing whatever mud you can to see what will stick. You are not impressive.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Giordan Bruno, stating to his Catholic Church judge, Jesuit Cardinal Robert Bellarmine, said that "I neither ought to recant, nor will I." Even a death sentence handed down by the Catholic Church did not change his attitude as he defiantly told his accusers, "In pronouncing my sentence, your fear is greater than mine in hearing it."
BTW dude it's spelled "scattershot." You *ARE* impressive...at being an ass!
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
I make no pretense to being able to spell correctly. My spelling sucks as badly as your ignorant & asinine fundamentalist polemic. BTW Church trials where separate from the secular one. So when Bruno was found guilty of heresy by the Church he could ONLY be excommunicated. They then turned him over to the SECULAR authorities which gave him a trial(with less rights then the Church gave). You are just to retarded & ignorant of history to comment with any authority. But at least you can spell.
jamesms4 3 years ago
"Vatican Spin Doctor"
The people with the original documents aren't the ones spinning history here. You make up stories that didn't exist in history until YOU made them up. That's why we Catholics look to original documents from historical events that we didn't live during.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
You mean to tell me that the John Paul didn't apologize in 1992 for the persecution of Galileo? Are you denying the charges made against Catholic priests for molesting boys?
Catholicism tries to spin or cover-up the church's *REAL* history, and anyone who exposes them is attacked by the so-called love filled Christians (take a look at JamesMS4's responses). Considering that Catholics have an emotional attachment to the church, they believe anything that the Pope tells them.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
How about you quote to me the exact words of the pope with regard to Galileo.
Then after that, how about you do some reading on what the church teaches about pedophile priests.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
You are quoting a headline. Did you read the actual apology or are you, like so many drones, one of those headline readers who think they know everything because they read a headline?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
You still haven't answered my question about Galileo being persecuted by the Church, or the fact that the Pope apologized for his persecution. 1992 is quite a long time for the Church to finally admit that Galileo was right.
You dare call me a drone, and yet you take everything what the Church teaches about pedophile priests (not to mention everything else)? Do you take everything given to you from the Church at face value, or can you think about it for yourself?
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Galileo wasn't right, Copernicus was right. Galileo just found the conclusive evidence. And just like when the model changed to "interlocking spheres"
Just like when someone posited a model to explain retrograde motion in the zodiac. Just like when we departed from the idea of Ether causing everything to move. We have to test everything. Galileo was impatient.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
You are just retarded.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Well Skylinesandsunsets, What of ALL THE TEACHINGS OF THE POPES should Catholics not follow?
Cite to me even 1 teaching that the pope has taught that a Catholic should not follow because it is in error.
What has the pope ever taught that was wrong, I'd love to know. Please enlighten me because I've been reading volumes and volumes of papal teaching. Which one is intellectually wrong?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
What teaching from any pope, goes against reason? What teaching goes against natural law?
I submit to you that there has never been a teaching from a pope that has been inconsistent with the Roman Catholic Faith for 2000 years. The burden of proof is on you. I can't prove you wrong if you can't cite an instance of fallibility.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
How many notable astronomers came before Galileo?
How many different models of the solar system did they present before Galileo?
What university did Galileo study at?
What religion was Galileo?
Who was Galileo's teacher?
What did the Roman Catholic Church actually say in the events that actually happened with regard to Galileo?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
You answer my questions first. Was Galileo persecuted by the church or not? Did Catholic priests get charged for crimes of molestation or not?
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
The Nightly News tells me different.
jamesms4 3 years ago
So, are you telling me that the day Galileo saw with his eyes, what Copernicus predicted by math. Galileo should be blindly followed with out testing his conclusions? We should throw scientific procedure out the window because Galileo is throwing a temper tantrum? What kind of scientist are you?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Galileo was PERSECUTED for his finding that the Earth revolved around the sun, was forced by the Pope to admit in public that he was wrong, but it was rumored that he murmured under his voice "but it *DOES* move." Fast forward to 1992, and the Pope finally admits that Galileo was RIGHT and apologizes for his persecution.
Galileo wrote his finding in Italian, which the average man could read, not in Latin which was only accessible to scholars.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
I've studied the evolution of astronomy and I've read the original documents surrounding Galileo's findings. There were people in the church who agreed with Galileo, there were people who were skeptical, there were people who disagreed. One thing is certain, when Galileo opened his mouth and started saying bad things about his bishop he lost all supporters.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
When Galileo pushed to forgo scientific protocol for the sake of his ego, he lost credibility.
The earth revolved around the sun before Galileo discovered it and it continues long after he is dead. Galileo lost support because he was an ass.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Alphacrow, do you get all of your info on Galileo from the church or do you have non-Catholic sources that can back up what you are saying?
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Do you? Who are the major historians of the time of Galileo? Where are the original documents located? Please do tell.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
They ALL come from non-Catholic sources. Voxday who is a Protestant cites them in his book THE IRRATIONAL ATHEIST. You OTOH take all you info from anti-Catholic Fundamentalist Christian sources. That's pretty pathetic for an Atheist.
jamesms4 3 years ago
Now let's look at how atheists portray this. Atheists make it sound like there was this whole mess of people who were behind Galileo and that there was this uneducated, archaic church oppressing the people and trying to keep the people stupid. What are the facts?
The fact is that Galileo studied at the university of Paris (A Roman Catholic University) The Church also built numerous other universities. Galileo was Catholic, his teachers were catholic and his co-astronomers were all catholic.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
It comes as no surprise that he was Catholic, since he was indoctrinated into Catholicism from birth. I was born and raised a Catholic, and I didn't even know about Atheism until I was 18 when I learned about it in Christian Apologetic class. Rather than listening to 40 minutes of a priest teach his version, I actually took some of the Atheist material that he presented and read it, instead of just dismissing it.
If you want to be Catholic, I can co-exist with you. No problem.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Jumping topic,
Can you really "co-exist" with me? Because atheists are the most intolerant people on the face of the earth. They want everyone to just agree with them and they don't want to provide any original historical documents that back up the claims of their religion.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Yes, I can and do co-exist with people of all faiths (including Catholics). What I consider true intolerance are things like school prayer and ten commandments on courtrooms. That's being forcefull.
I don't care if you agree with me, all I want from you is to listen. I don't agree with you that Atheism is a religion, but you have the right to your opinion. I dare say that it's much harder to be Atheist in America.
For what it's worth, I do appreciate you keeping this debate clean.
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
But back to Galileo, you better know certain key players like
Cardinal Bellarmine, Francesco Barberini, Caspar Borgia, and Laudivio Zacchia
Pope Paul V
Pope Urban VIII
June 22, 1633
These are good things to know if you want to sound credible.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Who are the historians of the time of Galileo? What did they say about the events? Where are these documents being kept?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Do you even know who the pope was at the time of Galileo?
Do you know any of the other key players were in the events of June 22, 1633?
thealphacrow 3 years ago
I mean, as far as I can tell all you've done is read a headline from a news article that you haven't even read.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Galileo was a jerk to those disagreed with him &he may have plagiarized some of his material from a prominent Jesuit Astronomer of his day which won him enemies. Technically Galileo was wrong the Sun is NOT the center of the Universe merely the Solar System. In 1824 the Vatican allowed heliocentracism to be taught because the current science proved it. Galileo DID NOT. His science was retarded like you.
jamesms4 3 years ago
At least 77 others were either burned or hanged by the Inquisition. Over the centuries, millions were killed for heresy (which often meant simply being the wrong type of Christian). Sometimes it was more explicit heresy which threatened the church's lock on truth. The Italian freethinker Lucilio Vanini suggested that humans evolved from apes. In 1618 he was tried in France and found guilty of atheism and witchcraft. He had his tongue cut out, hanged, and his body was burned
Skylinesandsunsets 3 years ago
Lucilio Vanini was put to death by the secular authorities for teaching Atheism. Much like Stalin put religious people to death for teaching Theism. You are confusing secular civil law, with the inquisition & Church Law (which would NOT have executed him by given him penance). You are just retarded.

You think my video is "hateful"?
What part?
The part where I echo Dr. Van den Aardweg and call SSA a neurosis?
Where I point out that human sexual anatomy is only complementary between opposite genders?
Where I point out how rude "homosexuals" are to people who seek help to fix their SSA?
You'll have to explain what you mean by "hateful" because I have no intention of being "hateful" and every intention of being helpful. I have posted many links on the side of this vid in order to be helpful.
thealphacrow 3 years ago
Chill dude. Is it possible ukcatholic is referring to the foul treatment of the Pope gays as "hateful"? Logically if one looks at the video & hears you talk about gays abusing old ladies because they support Prop 8 & paint nazi symbols on Churches that would be hateful.
