lmao, watch the times for each one, the first took 20 seconds, the second 18 seconds..... what the hell's the point. 2 seconds is not enough to get me to run out and buy an impact driver lol
@Tbomb187 If you were holding the tools you would find that even if the impact took longer it would still be worth using. Spade bits are especially bad for getting bound, which makes a drill whip around violently, sometimes trapping your hand against a surface or at least making it hard to hold. The impact just plows on through without transmitting any torque back to the hand. If it binds up, the bit just slows down and the hammering helps it break free. It's way better for your wrist.
See between 0:47 and 0:49 for the impact hitting resistance and slowing down. The drill user would feel all this resistance, but the impact user would not.
Battery connections: The very first 19.2 Craftsman had the battery connections on the outside of the battery post. The 19.2 volt C3 all have the battery connections enclosed in the end of the post. If you look at your battery and the connections are on the end inside a plastic guard it will fit all the current C3 tools. This style connector will continue for as long into the future as Craftsman can see.
The NEXTEC batteries are all the same and will fit all the NEXTEC tools.
I have stronger drills already, mostly corded though, and I hear ya about getting the next step up in torque, probably isn't that heavy in weight, but I already have the I-driver. My only worry is I got the I-driver the first year it came out. I'm hoping the batteries haven't changed.
Yes, the M12 has about the same amount of torque as the Craftsman NEXTEC impact in this video. The M18 has the about the same torques as the new Craftsman C3 Impact.
Thanks. You have the only video of the impact. Do you know of anything difference with the Bosch equivalent? Ya, know, the one with same shape, same voltage, same BPM, same RPM, same torque, same charging time, and same display light, made by the same company. Besides it being twice as expensive?
@ Jack, The Bosch has the same ratings, but different battery connections. The batteries are not interchangeable. Myself, I would actually go with the new 19.2 volt impact. It's 1500 in lbs, this one and the Bosch are only 900.

Milwaukee just released a new line of Impacts on their M18 and M12 platforms. Some pretty awesome stuff out there!
