  • Shouldn't the translation be:

    On the bridge OF Avignon one is dancing there? l'on y danse.

  • @Greaseistheword7 I had pondered on this when translating, but decided on the word "IN" instead of "OF", because "OF" seems to imply the name of the bridge, but the bridge is named Saint Benezet. "IN" indicates location. I would like to ask viewers for opinions on this, it's fun to learn new things and exchange ideas. Thanks for viewing and posting comment.
