  • they ARE TUNED DOWN ONE HALF STEP BRO

  • anyone know the correct chords for this? All the tab-sites are running the same f'ed up one that doesn't even take their tuning into account. thanks

  • MOTHER FUCKER I LOVED THIS LINE UP!

  • smooth

  • Saw DBT at Nateva this year and this song alone made my whole festival. Cooley just has that blue-collar look when he plays. Simply perfect for this kind of music.

  • Gointo see them tonite Greenville SC Wish Isbell was still there, lot better witem

  • man, I miss this line-up.

  • I went stumblin through the fog tryin to find a reason for the things I told her. She woke up Sunny-side down and I was still thinkin I was to proud to flip her over.

  • Tight. They are a great live band to see.

  • GRIMEY'S!!! Sure wish I was a fan in 2006!

  • DBT DBT DBT DBT DBT DBT DBT DBT

  • The Reverend Cooley alone can grant absolution for all my alcoholic indiscretions...Long May He Run.

  • I love this whole group, but Cooley just has such a way with the "turn of a phrase".

  • This is great I love the lyrics and the way you all take it in and synthisize together totaly cool thanks love charlie

  • those little demons aint the reason for the bruises on your soul you been neglectin'

  • I'm going to tell you what: this is brilliant and I don't care if you are a drunk or an esteemed literary critic, but if you know anything about being alive in America you know this is the real deal. Trill recognize trill.

  • Could you please check out my Trucker song "Tundra and Tacoma" and tell me what you thing.......Thanks for your time

  • this song has really amazing lyrics! it flows great and its just perfect.

helps that its a great band too

  • cocaine rich comes quick and thats why the small dicks have it all..dbt is the shit

  • proper music!

  • with bon scott singing LET THERE BE ROCK.

  • Alls I got to say is Hell Yeah, and thank the Heavens for DBT...

  • Southern Rock is alive and well, and the world is a better place for it.

These guys are a national treasure.

  • Drive by truckers....may 5 2008 metro chicago

  • I love this performance. I've tried to catch them live but always miss 'em. Most music - if you want to call it music - these days is pure crap. Bands like DBT renew my faith in music. As a 46 year old Southerner, they speak to me!

  • If you ever get a chance, see them. It brings thier music together. I saw them in omaha couple of days ago and tulsa last year.

  • country is just bad rock and roll LET THERE BE ROCK!!!!!!

  • .. and it might surprise you, but i'm a prairie boy from Saskatchewan, Canada and this stuff is gold to me too! I LOVE THIS BAND, please tour canada sometime. :)

  • Long live the dirty fuckin' South!!!

  • I love this band - they are America's Smiths.

  • are you completely deaf? How the hell is this amazing band even remotely sounding like the whining Morrisey???

  • Songs of the disinfranchised, marginalised, songs for and by people who go unheard - you don't hear that more fool you. They are both literary and smart.

Incidentally, did you know both frontmen have masters in literature (and Isbell a BA in History). They're probably the best educated band in America... and they rock.

And... I love the Smiths... and I'm English. Ha.

  • get a grip.... your description could easily fit norwegian black metal bands as well.. Do they sound like the smiths??

Does the fact that both frontmen have masters in literature make their music sound the same??

the smiths and dbt are two different worlds...

  • I completely get where BOTH of you are coming from.

I can see the tie-in to The Smiths with the whole literary rock thing. The Smiths music got eaten up by hipsters and people of that sort while the country and indie crowds now seem to be embracing the Truckers.

I'd now like the time to point out that Cooley and Isbell are easily the best two singers in the band... or were, now that Isbells gone.

  • such a wonderful song,

  • I've bought every cd they've made and i can listen to everyone all the way through and not be disapointed

  • yes.. agreed, the stroker ace rules, he needs his goat in this video.. it just makes him that much more of a bad ass

  • i heard of these guys on npr.i bought 3 cds of theirs since then.they are lyrical genius.i love the southern thang.i relate with this song.

  • too bad jason left the band. i saw them at antones in austin goin' "unplugged" and was thouroughly amazed

  • I saw the two Dirt Underneath shows in San Francisco, and they have taken a huge leap forward. I love Jason and hated seeing him go, but rest assured the DBTs are still in great shape. Best band in all of the land. And the Stroker Ace is the man!

  • good song great band
