i want to thank you for this lesson. it's hard to find lessons on folk and irish music on u-tube. i especially like when you put the chords above the lyrics. i'm finally able to play the songs i like, and grew up with.
You're one of the best artists to play this song the traditional Irish way. I have a presentation tomorrow in my English Lesson, in which I compare the traditional version to the reinterpretation by "Dropkick Murphys" and I'd like to use your video to show my class the traditional one. Is that okay?
Reeeaaally great. No, it ain't great, it's epic! I love yer voice, mate, the playing's outstandingly correct, you posted the lyrics and I haven't seen quality like this in any video before (and I just notice that I'm not watching HD) - My opinion is, mate, this video is bloody awesome and deserves every award you can possibly get. But maybe I'm just overreacting 'cause it's one of my favourite songs... Who knows - It's awesome anyway :D
That's the idea. The more you practice in this way, the more comfortable and adventurous you can become. Feel free to do this with any of my videos. Good luck.
great performance...

thank you so much for the chords...they sound so much better than all the other versions i've found :)
classicrockboy93 2 years ago
They are the chords suggested by The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem in their song book which probably accounts for that.

We used to sing another song about Noah's Ark to this tune at school.. It's nice to hear the proper folk song :)
