As a musician, I would die without being able to express my deepest emotions through an instrument where my voice could not. Daf is not really considered a musical instrument because when Rasulallah (pbuh) came to Madina people were celebrating and and playing daf, therefore it is allowed. We play the daf at weddings and during the time of happiness to express that feeling, and is therefore not called useless entertainment.
After the consummation of my marriage, the Prophet came and sat on my bed as far from me as you are sitting now, and our little girls started beating the tambourines (daff) and reciting elegiac verses mourning my father, who had been killed in the battle of Badr. One of them said, Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow. On that the Prophet said, Leave this (saying) and keep on saying the verses which you had been saying before. [Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.7 Hadith No.5147]

As a musician, I would die without being able to express my deepest emotions through an instrument where my voice could not. Personally I'm horrified that so many Salafis condem this video despite the incredibly positive Islamic message that it teaches. It gives a beautiful example of Dawah in how small acts of generosity and kindness towards kufr are how hearts are moved towards Allah. This is vastly better then messages of pure hatred towards kufr by so many Muslims on the internet.

Daf is not really considered a musical instrument because when Rasulallah (pbuh) came to Madina people were celebrating and and playing daf, therefore it is allowed. We play the daf at weddings and during the time of happiness to express that feeling, and is therefore not called useless entertainment.

After the consummation of my marriage, the Prophet came and sat on my bed as far from me as you are sitting now, and our little girls started beating the tambourines (daff) and reciting elegiac verses mourning my father, who had been killed in the battle of Badr. One of them said, Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow. On that the Prophet said, Leave this (saying) and keep on saying the verses which you had been saying before. [Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.7 Hadith No.5147]

yes akhi it is allowed but not in nasheeds on ocassion of wedding ,when a traveller comes back from a long journey and on eid.its use should not be in nasheeds.this nasheed is haraam.may Allah guide these muslim brothers.Ameen.

But with Music it IS useless entertainment, it keeps us from doing Zikar, the time we spend listeing to music we could spend it in Zikar. And just like how we are ordered to lower our gazes in Quran because there is a point , because it will lead to adultry. it is the same with music. it is not allowed because it changes our emotions.

Narrated Urwa on the authority of Aisha
On the days of Mina, (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) Abu Bakr came to her while two young girls were beating the tambourine (daff) and the Prophet was lying covered with his clothes. Abu Bakr scolded them. The Prophet uncovered his face and said to Abu Bakr, "Leave them, for these days are the days of 'Id and the days of Mina."

Islam does not change with the world. Quran and hadeeth does not change... how is something that was haram 1400 years ago suddenly becomes halal in modern world because we are all addicted to music and therefore we try to say that it is halal, but the evidence show that it is not and Daff is, i am sorry i am not good at explaining why daff is allowed but i will let u know once i do find out.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Look at documentaries on countries predominantly Muslim. Compare them to the West and there is no comparison. That's why so many come to the West. If you cannot rationalise this then of course you are delusional. There is nothing sane in Islam. Especially when you teach hatred to young children. It is brainwashing pure and simple.
