dude, that was a huge catch, in no time! Nice finesse on the catch, but it looked like it could have easily yanked you into the water.

Grouper is one my favorite fish to catch when I'm in the gulf, that and snapper. They're smart fish, and will try to pull your spool and lodge their body in between rocks, so make sure your reel setup is correct.

Bread it, butter it and bake it. Or, pan fry it...its so good, best of the bass family in my opinion.

If you eat it with friends and family, around 10 people, that's already alot of it eaten. And if you freeze the meat for a week or two, the taste won't be that much different from when you caught it. Even if you freeze it for a couple of months, it'll still taste good. I've eaten walleye that's been frozen for 7 months and it still tasted great... Ask any fishermen that eat what they catch, and they'll agree with me. Do you even fish and, if so, eat what you catch?

i got my first one last night, a hundred pounder over 40 inches while tarpon fishing with a big piece of catfish..took me under the rocks 3 times and i battled him out of there after about 20-30 minutes..when they go under the rocks and get stuck, let some slack out, they'll come back out, it really works!!!

I do have to say that he needs to cut about six inches off of the butt of that rod so that his left hand would be comfortably placed near the top of the rod grip, as opposed to down near the reel where he had it... that positioning would give him a better center of gravity grip on the rod, and therefore much more leverage...
