In that situation you have every right to have the cop identify him/her self before showing your identification and what not. If they refuse you have to ask for there supervisor on duty. If they refuse that id call the police myself and ask for a uniformed officer to show up and diffuse the situation.

I would like to say that a motorcyclist speeding is like a redneck strapping himself to a rocket: it may be fun, it may be dangerous, but unless he hits a pedestrian, he is only going kill HIMSELF. The whole bogus 'wiretapping' charge aside, the gun was hardly necessary. To say otherwise paints us all as speed hungry, law disregarding citizens, which we are NOT.

@cooper8318 so what if he tried to run. running from a speeding ticket does not escalate the right to deadly force. you don't see them shooting up cars of even known felons (bank robbers, grand theft auto, anything where a felon leads a pursuit) let alone a motorcyclist with clearly no weapons and no previous motivation to use such weapons. drawing the gun was unneccessary. this wasn't even a felony stop and the officer could clearly see both hands of the motorcyclist.

Not only was this State-cop not fired, he shortly after (because the kid posted it on YouTube) raided his house. Took his cameras, computers, etc., And arrested him again, for wiretapping. Of course, it was eventually thrown right out of court. I hope this kid sues, for a 4th amendment rights violation, having it been a bogus warrant. That story (about 'this' video and him being rearrested) made national news.
