Nick Jonas Diabetes Speech at Bayer Care meeting

My mom has been a type 1 diabetic since she was 8. I've watched her fight it my entire life- she is a true warrior. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with a condition called Dysautonomia which affects part of your nervous system, which in turn affects your heart, blood pressure, digestion, and other involuntary functions. As i've learned to fight and cope with this problem, I've totallly viewed my mom as a hero. Nick Jonas is a true inspiration and i admire him for advocating for the sick.

on 10 of october 2010 i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on 10 of october that was my 15th birthday and i was ready to give up on everything but i kept strong and i kept saying why me but its been 5 months and im happy and healther then i could be im just glad that im not alone and that theres good people out there that want to help Thank you everyone who feel bad for us or sad about our storys but we will all be fine as we are all strong

A few months ago I was a healthy 13 year old girl. No problems what so ever. Then in July I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Nick Jonas is one talented man. An inspirational one too. It's true, a little bit longer and we'll all be fine.

He barely realizes that he's inspiring to other diabetics. I bet he doesn't know at all how much he inspires those with cancer, paralization, blindness or other disabilities, depression, or even those who happen to be going through a hard time in their lives.

i had the chance to fly to America and meet Nick Jonas,

but it turns out i've known him since i was 6...

So i turned them down so someone who'd never met him got the chance...
