@technoblogical, I too couldn't login. Turns out I was never prompted to create a login username and password

@artstaaar VMWAre won't prompt you to create a user. You need to make a separate administrator account on your computer with a password or assign the account you are using now a password.

I downloaded Server 2.0.2 two days ago while I was showing it to someone and it asked me for one. There are several different versions of Vmware Server. Maybe you were using a different version?
