Bukhari 1:11:626 says "The Prophet said 'Burn all those who had not left their houses for the prayer, burning them alive inside their homes.'" Tabari’s Chronicles part 2, pp. 258, 272 reports first-caliph Abu Bakr saying "Call [apostates] to re-embrace Islam; if they refuse, do not spare any one of them. Burn them with fire and kill them with force and take the women and children as prisoners." Qur'ān 4:89 says "If they [converts] turn back [apostatize], then seize them and kill them wherever...
you find them." In 711 Tariq ibn Ziyad, saying “Oh my warriors....Behind you is the sea, before you, the enemy,” landed an army on the south coast of Spain. The Qur'ān’s 47:4 was cited in Muhammad Qasim’s slaughter of 6,000 to 16,000 in Brahminabad, India, in 712. Timur cited “enemies of Islam” in his 1398 massacre of 100,000 in Dehli.

Timur (Tamerlane) himself recorded his exploits in his memoirs, in which he described the massacre at Delhi in 1399.

Perhaps as much as they trust anything, Muslims trust the power of INTENTION to create the reality that suits them. Muslims trust the world that others think has hard, definable edges to be easily refashioned by simple insistence. And since the only relevant thermometer is the one that measures how Islam is doing against—always against—the rest of the world, their trust in the power of mere intention frees them to be simpletons with no standards of behavior, just lies.
The Ka'aba is just a focal point. Ahadith are unreliable sources of information. Translations of its Arabic render impressions of the Qur'ān unreliable and, in any event, infidels take their impressions out of context. Muhammad didn't do the awful things some people say and, if he did, he HAD to do them; he was fighting for Islam. What some Muslims say are jihādist activities are not truly Islam, and those Muslims are not true Muslims.

If Muslims could allow themselves to be ashamed of the beheaders, bombers, and other brutes among them, they might find the sense not to call those of us who are disgusted by their fellows "haters." Are women's prayers acceptable during menstruation? Islam, a male-dominated way of life, decides such things for Muslims. Shouldn't Muslim men concern themselves more with whether THEIR prayers are acceptable while MURDERING? People to whom menstruation is a more repellant function than murder should undergo a figurative lobotomy to remove whatever part of their brains is blocking good sense and decency.

Because some menstruation can be very uncomfortabe and painful for some women, and so they are not required to pray or fast, so they can rest.

The much-mentioned peace of Islam is almost certainly in the mental effort that Islam relieves Muslims of. Relief from mental effort necessarily means relief from moral responsibility. (To have morality, one must be able to choose.) Hence Muslims' everlasting reliance on what the Qur'ān says AND inability to evaluate what it says.
The Qur'ān does simplify life. Life's path is narrow. Those who stray from it are punished severely. Punishment-fearful Muslims go to heaven.
The less one knows, the less he is likely to imagine there IS to know, so the more shocked or angry he is likely to be at those who see things differently. Conversely, the more one knows, the more he grasps how much he doesn't know, so the more humble he is.

Arrogant people often ARE because they have little experience with ideas that compete with theirs. Being so inexperienced, they are shocked to be disagreed with. And being unfamiliar with different ideas, they are very likely to be wrong in what they so firmly assume. Arrogance is therefore very likely to be a partner of not only violence, but ignorance, too. Deen, Muslims' first line of defense against those who challenge Islam is to suggest that they don't know enough to have opinions. The only people Muslims assume know about Islam are those on the inside, and if those on the OUTside knew more they'd BE on the inside.

Islam doesn't represent a single virtue not found outside Islam. In fact, I think it's fair to say it doesn't represent a single virtue. Someone has posted 2000’s PBS series Islam: Empire of Faith on YouTube. It’s as well done as you’d expect on PBS, but I couldn’t keep from feeling that anyone who‘d want Nazi Germany to look as good could have done as well. If Muslims were truly proud of Islam, they’d be saying what it IS rather than what it ISN’T. It isn’t Saudi Arabia’s version, Iran’s, Egypt’s, or Syria’s. It isn’t in ahadith or even in the Qur'ān when verses are “out of context” (which they always seem to be). Jihād and shari'a aren’t true Islam, and neither is tiqiyya. The Ka'aba is just a focal point. Ahadith are unreliable sources of information. Translations of its Arabic render impressions of the Qur'ān unreliable and, in any event, infidels take their impressions out of context. Muhammad didn't do the awful things some people say and, if he did, he HAD to do them; he was fighting for Islam. What some Muslims say are jihādist activities are not truly Islam, and those Muslims are not true Muslims.

Are women's prayers acceptable during menstruation? Islam, a male-dominated way of life, decides such things for Muslims. @bangfarang It's not that women's prayers are not accepted during menstruation. God has made it easier for women withmenstruation, they are not required to pray, and it's a sign of mercy from God. Because some menstruation can be very uncomfortabe and painful for some women, and so they are not required to pray or fast, so they can rest.

"Aisha reported that Fatimah, the daughter of Abu Hubaish came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman who has a constant discharge of blood so I am not purified. Shall I give up prayer?' He said: 'No, that is a vein and not menses, and when your menses comes, give up your prayer; and when the time elapses, wash the blood from yourself and then pray.'"

The much-mentioned peace of Islam is almost certainly in the mental effort that Islam relieves Muslims of. Relief from mental effort necessarily means relief from moral responsibility. (To have morality, one must be able to choose.) Hence Muslims' everlasting reliance on what the Qur'ān says AND inability to evaluate what it says.
The Qur'ān does simplify life. Life's path is narrow. Those who stray from it are punished severely. Punishment-fearful Muslims go to heaven.
Simplicity is peace.

The less one knows, the less he is likely to imagine there IS to know, so the more shocked or angry he is likely to be at those who see things differently. Conversely, the more one knows, the more he grasps how much he doesn't know, so the more humble he is.
Humanity may contain a natural virus against progress and civility. Times when the certitudes of the thoughtless try to overwhelm the doubts of the thoughtful may be inevitable. Muhammad invented a god to help start just such a campaign.

MUSLIMS are condemned to hell, readers, because they're not believers. To believe what Muslims say they do, one must be free to disbelieve, which the Qur'ān's proscription against questioning Islam (2:2 and 5:101-02) and death penalty for drawing the wrong conclusions about Islam (4:89) prevent. Muslims may HAVE Islam, but not CHOOSE Islam, just as Americans could not CHOOSE black cars during WWII. Muslims choose Islam the way rocks, which don't resist Islam, do.
Muhammad didn't think of this.

Arrogant people often ARE because they have little experience with ideas that compete with theirs. Being so inexperienced, they are shocked to be disagreed with. And being unfamiliar with different ideas, they are very likely to be wrong in what they so firmly assume. Arrogance is therefore very likely to be a partner of not only violence, but ignorance, too. Muslims don't know what to say to those whom they'd like to gain agreement from, so threats fill the void where their thoughts should be.

AT THE VERY CORE OF ISLAM is the conviction that humanity is freer than it ought to be, so that directing people into paradise requires them to be severely punished for the foibles that, unpunished, could BAR them from paradise. For attainment of an unproven realm, Muslims call brutality righteous. That brutality, and the lies Muslims must tell to justify Islam to others, distinguish Islam from all other ways of life. Islam is institutionally depraved but it blinds Muslims from seeing the fact.

Islam is a war marching through history to validate Islam, the war marching through history. To Muslims, Islam is the only reality. Lies told for it become truth because they serve Muslims' only reality. What Muslims say needs no external validation. There IS nothing external. This is a Muslim universe. No one converts to Islam. He REverts. He just hadn't known he was a Muslim. Such is Islam's arrogance. And when it's time to jettison the Bill of Rights, that incompatible document will go.

Muslims lie about Islam because it lacks attractive truth. Islam is for people who think little enough of themselves to follow a violent sensualist, little enough of others to justify or ignore brutalizing them for leaving or not joining Islam. When Muslims stop lying and threatening, Islam will end. When Muslims learn to say why they're Muslims, they'll understand Islam well enough to wonder why they were ever Muslims. Infidels who ignore Islam's horror will be remembered as Vidkun Quisling is.

Deen, Muslims' first line of defense against those who challenge Islam is to suggest that they don't know enough to have opinions. The only people Muslims assume know about Islam are those on the inside, and if those on the OUTside knew more they'd BE on the inside.
YouTube Muslims never offer a defense of Islam. The best they do, perhaps they best they CAN do, is quote from the Qur'ān, as confused and violent a book as ever was written. But it tells Muslims, at 5:101-02, not to think about it.

I should add that Deen's suggestion of Islam's thorough unknowability for infidels tells us that we never have any REASON to become Muslims. Muslims confirm this by saying that one SUBMITS to Islam, which MEANS submission. One doesn't think his way in or think his way around inside (Qur'ān 5:101-02). He just surrenders, offers irresistance. Islam is not for thinkers, which fact has made Islam the failure it is (rescued today only by the Middle East's oil money). Thinking can only cause errors.

Muslims either wish the disgusting daily news about what Muslims do on behalf of Islam were not true, or don't care whether it is. Either they ignore what Muslims, beginning with Muhammad, have done for Islam, or it's all the same to them and Islam is lovely because they fear to suppose otherwise.
No decent, aware person has ever been a Muslim except for fear of not being. Islam is a realm of either denial or evil. As such, it is not a realm for thinkers. Islam is a reflex brought on by fear.

Conversely, words obviate and extinguish emotions because only words can make intelligent arguments. Weapons used offensively can argue only one's frustration. Islam doesn't represent a single virtue not found outside Islam. In fact, I think it's fair to say it doesn't represent a single virtue. Islam simply represents Islam, with all its fear of hell, no matter that Muhammad was so much like Satan; all its fear of Allah, no matter that he's Muhammad's self-serving invention; and all of Muslims' fear of each other. Apostates ARE killed, after all. Islam seeks to justify itself as if it were the entire universe. Indeed, Muslims will tell you it is.

Muslims, finding Islam too difficult to defend, use much of their YouTube time indicating the shortcomings of the West. But that misses the point. Humanity is doomed always to fall short of the perfections people dream of. The West, though, tries to do better. Islam's very essence is in 1) punishing those who DON'T do better and 2) waging belief-based wars. The West has encouraged itself forward for many centuries. Islam stones, beheads, and canes people for victimless foibles and petty crimes.
