@FlorryMc I use this with VirtualBox and Splashtop Remote to play Minecraft Pocket Edition. If you setup the touchscreen right its REALLY good. And i suspect you play Minecraft from your username.
Anyway what I'd like to figure out is if I could download Android Apps on my PC and copy them over to my phone and use them??? That would save my phone bill a lot of cash???
@MrGizmo757 Uhm, that could be so provided a proper desktop version is developed. As it is, it's ok, and fast, for web browsing and simple applications, but with a desktop OS you are supposed to be able to edit video, use audio sequencers, work on a 3D, or play complex games... By the way, you actually mean laptops??? I've seen android on some dual boot acer netbooks, with Android as the fast booting option. It makes sense there, as the Starter version of W7 does suck (on a desktop OS scale)
Maybe for people who just web brows Android is the way to go. I use my PC to record music and I'd be very surprised if my music software (Cubase5) or my soundcard are supported by Android??? Maybe I'm wrong I'd love to be!!!! I think the chrome OS is most likely to develope into a full OS but android is for net books tablets and phones!!!
is there a 64 bit version? is not since it has a Linux core can a PEA kernel be enabled?

@Below
And you can setup a fake memory card that is actually your PC's harddrive. So you can download APK's from the Android Browser
and they get saved to your HDD then boot up Windows or Mac OS X and copy them to your phone.

@FlorryMc Yes, you can use the Internet Browser to download APKs and install them.

Could I install Android with Windows on my computer? Its a dual boot type thing.
davidleighty48 11 months ago
@davidleighty48 Probably... I've never tried it myself. If you do try it, let me know, I would be excited to see how it turns out.
JakeHaasDEV 10 months ago
@davidleighty48 since android 2.2, they added an option to dual boot windows.
mickyd110011 9 months ago
@davidleighty48 You can, but first you have to partition your HDD from within Windows,
Then during the installation it'll ask if you want to install GRUB, select yes, this is the boot loader that will let you choose which OS to boot.
