EVERYTHING has its ups and downs and i think in the case of the htc touch pro the ups outweigh the downs. and i agree with chitopoop 100%. even after watching this review i will stick with my decision to upgrade my motorola q to this phone.

That review was pretty unless, most of the flaws you found were absolutely pointless because the circumstancces in which you found flaw were pretty unikely. Why would you want a keyboard during that game like jacomoncal said????? Just looking for any flaws you could find to do a review. Pretty lame......... HTC pro .... great phone

That is a good review thank you for taking the time to do it. It's helping me decide which phone to buy. While nothing is perfect it seems to do most of what I looking for. I would like to one of these smart phone have the capability read fingerprint. It could be coded my only me for security and anti-theft. Who would want a phone they couldn't use?

I can't believe you're complaining about the stuck pixel. It's a typical problem with LCD/TFT tech and has nothing to do with quality... it's just something you have to accept with the tech. Also, the wifi password thing looks likes a WinMo problem... not something HTC specific. It would be probably quicker just typing it in on the onscreen keyboard given the length would be short... yeah?

Battery life sucks compared to what? Other Windows Mobile based phones? Seems to last as long as other phones I've had... the only thing that sucks the battery is the WIFI and GPS... two things that you don't find in your average mobile. You can cry til you bleed, but most manufacturers won't give a hoot if you've got a dead pixel... whether you think it's acceptable or not. Period.

How the hell are you going to try and say something that is COMPLETELY out of the control the manufacturer's hands is unacceptable. A dead pixel is not something you can control, it's just something your going to have to deal with. And guess what, if it came with a dead pixel and you take back to your SP, they will usually replace it, unless of course you neglect to tell them until you've had the phone for a while.

hey i got the HTC touch pro, but cant seem to get youtube working, im connected to WIFI, and i get on to youtube, its only when i click on "watch video" then it goes.."finding network" then "failed to find network"... can u please tell me wt i should do?

The issue with notifications(wifi pw entry disappearing when sliding out keyboard) is a problem of WM, not HTC. Try it with other devices.

The Touch Pro will be the best Windows Mobile phone... until Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 comes out. Now *THAT* is a killer phone. It has everything the Touch Pro could lack : 3.5mm jack, larger screen with highest resolution ever (800x480), lighter, more battery, tilt keyboard.

What's the catch ? Nothing really, the Xperia is also made by HTC !

can't tilt the screen like on the tytnII which is a bit dump. the tilt is a useful function and it was one of the main points they were selling on when it was released.

I have to agree that TouchFlo makes it slower for each task, but if you don't use it then what's the point of getting HTC devices? The Touchflo is the bread and butter of these WinMo phones. Either way, HTC Touch Pro looks very promising with the improved battery over the Touch Diamond. I will get either the Touch Pro or the Xperia X1.

As with all products, time is needed to get used to their functions. I don't think the notification thing is a big deal. Since now that you know how to circumvent it, it doesn't become a problem anymore does it?

Its like saying when you open the keyboard you lose the homescreen and you get fed up with it. Once you know how something works, its no problem.

i dont believe your problem with the loosing your notification while switching from landscape to portrait and loosing your notification is necessarily a htc problem; i have the samsung i760 and the same thing happens. i think its more a windows problem as opposted to a phone problem.

Good to know about the notifications. I can use the onscreen keyboard for those. Hopefully enough people will complain so that it gets fixed.... It should be made to behave so that if a notification is on the screen the keyboard opening does not change or affect anything on the screen.
