  • this song is totally gone on jola

  • As they say in America it's music from the roots. So I feel , there's something here from Bob Marley, but I dont know where was the spring what gave a knock it to start )) Good luck Africa!

  • this song talks about a ship than sank in senegal. it was called " le djola" . he's saying how people are crying for their lost ones . he says dnt loose faith God is here stuff like that. and he's also saying how senegal is a united country

  • is there any chance to find the exact translation of the song?

I love his songs. Looked for Wollof dictionaries everywhere, can't find a usefull one...

It feels like I'm missing the whole meaning of that music by listening without understanding properly...

    H e l p !

  • @tugboatster there is no wolof dictionary because its a local language. But what the song is portraying about a Senegalese ship which capsized in 2002 or 2003 . which causes a devastation in almost every family in Senegal n the Gambia . almost 50% of these two countries lost their family members . And the musician (Ismael Lo ) sending his condolences to both countries.

    i hope this information helps
