I think I was extremel fortunate to be born when I was. Hindi film music at its sweetest. We had Anil Biswas, Naushad, SDBurman, C Ramchandra, Roshn, Husnlal Bhagatram, Salil Chaudhari, K datta, Vasant Desai, Sajjad, Shankar Jaikishan, Sudhir Phadke, nad all of them had Lata, Asha, Rafi, Manna Dey, Talat, Mukesh, Geeta Roy, Kishor . It was musical heaven.
Wow. I love it the way Dilip Kumar delivers his dialogues in this song! It's SO adorable, & the adorable interaction between him & Madhubala. Priceless. I didn't know they were in love in real life until fellow youtuber 'sandhaeliya' mentioned it.(I wouldn't know, not from that generation, though simply 'love' everything about the 40s&50s era of amazing music, sweet simplicity & charming romances.:) Knowing these two had a real life romance will add to my charm of their songs together.:) Thanks.
Madhubala was a young beauty, a charismatic damsel when she acted in Tarana. She was looking charm and innocent. The song is a melodious masterpiece.Lata Mangeskar voice was a total match to depict the scene in the film.
Lata had sung so well in the past that all her songs are equally goods and beyond comparison.
A Sri lankan such as I did enjoy the songs relayed over Radio Ceylon in the days gone by.
My strictly personal view is that though Madhubala was always exquisite in looks, she grew more beautiful as she progressed from teens into twenties and then into mid- thirties . Maybe it was divinely mandated that all movie goers should remember her at the summit of her loveliness when she passed away. Of course, this doesn't mean that here she is any less enthralling. She is very captivating , and Lataji's sweet song and her own acting talent make her doubly so.
I disagree, even though its your personal opinion. IMO Madhubala was most beautiful in early 50s esp in Tarana in which she is out of the world. I feel she lost some of her innocent charm and beauty in her movies of late 50s and 60s. Still she was great.
"real life love" is a misunderstanding. It was Dilip K who schemed with the producers to have Madhubala fired from the movie "Naya Daur"! Vijayantimala was a last-minute replacement!!

Despite our different perspectives, we are united and are among those legions who admire Madhubala's beauty and , I trust, acting talent.
