U add that factor in the US still remains ahead just like they currently are.
To prove it lets take all the Olympics that the US and USSR/Russia competed in together, which is 28, then lets add up the medals to find who REALLY has the better ratio. if you speak of medal counts you must take into account the participation of said sports by a country's citizens .. USA has a temperate climate so most youth prefer baseball, basketball or football over winter sports .. India is hot and dry so not many participants there .. same with South & Central America. Canada is much colder so many participants, esp hockey .. stick to the math/geography analysis and not politics, Troll, lest you appear half-baked

I saw a east Indian man taking pictures of what looked to be the garbage cans at every stop on the Canada line from the Langara station to the Olympic station. He was as well being quite secretive about it as he tucked his black jacket over the camera in between stops. This was in mid Nov. If you have kids I would caution taking the sky train during the Olympics. I recently informed the sky train upon the request of the announcements to tell them of any suspicious activity.

IDC what the IOC do, and neither does the rest of the US. We consistently win more medals than anyone else, meaning all around we have better athletes than any other country in the world. I actually like Canada, Im happy their doing good, but try telling a country that maybe wins 30 silver medals and 40 bronze that some third world country like Botswana is better than them because they won 1 gold medal in one event and no other medals. The US is ALWAYS in the top 3 regardless if its Summer or Winter...usually we're 1st maaaybe 2nd. We dominate in BOTH Olympics, and not just in a few key sports either, but in EVERY sport. The US is rated Number 1 in the Summer games and Number 2 in the Winter games w/ a combined overall ranking by the IOC of Number 1 on the planet. End of story. We have a total of 2515 medals w/ 1009 of those being Gold. The next closet is the USSR with 1602 and only 615 of those gold. And those number are the USSR and Russia COMBINED.

And since u have to try and use little math tricks so it APPEARS that Russia beats the US, that is just flat NOT true. The reason they APPEAR to have a higher ratio is because they didnt compete in any Winter games until 1956. If they would have competed in all the Winter games it would have brought their average WAAY down since there are FAR fewer medals available during Winter games than Summer. U add that factor in the US still remains ahead just like they currently are.

To prove it lets take all the Olympics that the US and USSR/Russia competed in together, which is 28, then lets add up the medals to find who REALLY has the better ratio. Hey, guess who still comes out ontop?? Admittedly Its pretty close, but the US still averages almost 51 medals per Olympics compared to 49 for USSR/Russia .

Football, running, high jump, basketball, swimming, far jump etc. Winter I only like hockey and speedksating. Wich the last the Dutch rule up in this lovely bitch. It's not easy, it takes both skill and athleticism - unlike, one could argue, sprinting in a straight line to see who'se the fastest... (I'm not dumping on the Summer Games, just making a point).

if you speak of medal counts you must take into account the participation of said sports by a country's citizens .. USA has a temperate climate so most youth prefer baseball, basketball or football over winter sports .. India is hot and dry so not many participants there .. same with South & Central America. Canada is much colder so many participants, esp hockey .. stick to the math/geography analysis and not politics, Troll, lest you appear half-baked

haha the IOC have gone crazy. They give Vancouver the Olympics which is well known for its mild winters and I thought 2014 would be back to reality but it actually is gonna be a worse situation than Vancouver. The average temperature in Sochi in February is 6.c What the heck are the IOC doing? Where will the 2018 Winter Olympics be? The Australian outback.

The IOC is nuts. Vancouver's weather patterns don't represent the real weather that occurs within the rest of the Country.
For whatever odd reason I'm hoping this kind of flops just to teach them a lesson. A few events as of today have either been cancelled or pushed back due to rain.... Rain? I'm Canadian BTW so people don't bash me as being Non-Canadian.

Anyone notice how Canada doesn't need to cheat with their judges like China did to get their first gold during the summer olympics , or any medal. I'm an American, Texan, but Canada has plenty of excellent athletes. Power of freedom, I just watched you guys win your first gold so far, I am sure there will be more to come.

I saw a east Indian man taking pictures of what looked to be the garbage cans at every stop on the Canada line from the Langara station to the Olympic station. He was as well being quite secretive about it as he tucked his black jacket over the camera in between stops. This was in mid Nov. If you have kids I would caution taking the sky train during the Olympics. I recently informed the sky train upon the request of the announcements to tell them of any suspicious activity.

This report is ladden in bullshi*t. Nothing was on budget and cost overruns resulted in mass layoffs of public workers, cutbacks in healthcare and education and closure of schools and community centers in Vancouver. A whole wad of corporate sponsors went bankrupt just months before these stupid olimpdicks started, so the taxpayers had to hand tens of billions of dollars to get these dumb games started, in return they got a debt payable within the next half century, at least! F*ck the olimpdicks!
