It sucks that they cancelled it, they can go 8 seasons with csi NY, CSI NJ, CSI miami, CSI, Law and order, Criminal minds, in plain sight, the mentalist, monk, psych but the one superhero show they cancel?
Its kind of ironic that there's this epic music playing and you're expecting him to kick some ass and then he gets knocked out...XD
Still, Ando has a really cool and original ability, but I don't see why the writers don't expand his role. He has abilities now, but he doesn't do anything significant with them...
Why on earth did you put in that totally overused music for a 16 second clip. That means we didn't actually get to hear the sound effect for his power.
Sure, not all of the "exposed futures" and "reasons for them not happening" are grade A material. But I think they work pretty well, considering the nature of most comic book plots.
Also, Hiro may still become a badass ;) Remember, there's still a volume 5.
yeah, but what i dont understand is why hiro gotta be ill with his power, it wasnt like that in season 1 so why the hell would those writers do that?? anyone answer that for me please
If you've been keeping up with the show, you'd know that Hiro LOST his original power in Volume Three, to Arthur Petrelli. In Volume Four, Matt Parkman Jr. simply activated aspects of Hiro's ability, he is NOT capable of giving anybody their power. True fans have also noticed that his power no longer makes the same sound as it used to.
What Hiro needs is a certain best friend to SUPER CHARGE him so he can maximize the efficiency of his ability.
ahhhh i get you, makes sense now, but will hiro ever get his powers back, cos damn he was good in season 1, and he could be badass if the writers let him be
This is all apart of his character's development. Hiro's heroism is being tested, to see if he's really got what it takes. Same thing with Peter, his empathic sense for the ones he loved greatly reduced after being betrayed by his father, Nathan, and Claire. Because of that, when he injected himself with the synthetic formula, he received a DIFFERENT ability.
The abilities are supposed to match the character's personalities. Eventually, both Peter and Hiro will regain their original powers.
Sometimes the heroes inadvertently cause more problems than they solve by trying to change the future. Moral ambiguity has always played a big factor in the Heroes universe. Peter knew there was going to be a massive explosion in Kirby Plaza, and although he was aware that he could possibly be the cause, he remained stubborn in trying to stop it.
Oh yeah, I forgot my entire point for commenting - LOL - I don't get why some are confused about Ando being able to kill people, since he's a super-charger, but if he's a super-charger then he basically distributes energy. So his red light is really a blast of pure energy! Of course he can kill people!
actually no. his ability is to emit and control a type of energy that can supercharge other people's abilities. but when used on someone without abilities, it becomes fatal.
Oh really? Then how come the same blast of energy kills Hiro in the future. Hiro had the ability to time travel then, he has the ability to time travel now. Why wouldn't have the ability to time travel in the future? Saying 'Ando can only kill people without powers' is just splitting hairs. It's not logical, if he can kill people he can kill PEOPLE - powers or not.
Remember when Peter went 4 years in the future and Sylar was 'bro Sylar'? Sylar knew he was 'Peter's brother' in the past. So he did in the future. The 'future' of heroes is like a vortex where everything has changed except the characters and what they can know about the 'past'. When Hiro saw Ando, Hiro could time travel. Arthur takes away Hiro's powers - so that explained it, right? Nope, he gets them back. There's not ONE reason why Hiro shouldn't have had powers in the future.
futurestoryteller, although your points are valid, you're wrong.
In the exposed future from season three, Ando is seen wearing a pin with the Pinehearst emblem, suggesting that he was recruited by either Daphne, Knox, or one of Arthur's other goons. Hiro prevented this incident by simply informing Ando of his villainous ways. This future scene will NOT occur throughout the remainder of season four.
If you don't believe me, read it up on the Heroes wiki. It's all there in black and white.
That doesn't really change my point much. I accept the fact that knowledge of coming events can alter peoples responses. But (people) thumbs downing my comments doesn't change the fact that it's hard to accept a future in which Hiro mysteriously has no power, (clearly some time after losing them) even though everyone in the world seems to be able to buy whatever power they want on the fly. I mean really. This isn't suspicous to anyone else but me?
I never questioned the possibility that Hiro still had his powers. I was only suggesting that the particular event in which Ando supposedly "killed" Hiro has disappeared from existence. It's a basic time alteration common in the Heroes universe.
But you're right, it's very likely that Hiro still had his ability in that scene. There was no reason for him not to, especially since he wouldn't have even traveled to the past and claimed the catalyst without Ando's assistance.
This is kind of odd considering my point was that Ando can clearly kill people with powers even though he has the 'sidekick' ability. I never thought (or said) that the event shown was actually going to happen. Just like 5 years gone is never going to happen. Which actually kind of pisses me off now that I think about it. Why show us badass Hiro if it's not going to happen? When they did the Japanese storyline I thought, wow Hiro's gonna be badass now, for a while I thought yep see; then: nope.
I'm more than entirely aware of the time alterations your talking about. In fact it's one of many dumb mistakes they make constantly in the show. First of all, why do the Heroes have to 'stop the (dystopian) future' when simply seeing (or knowing) it will stop it without any other action? And if Future Peter really did change everything 'so something different happens' like Angela said. Then why, when he takes Peter there, is it the exact same as he remembers?
And lastly we're supposed to believe that in FOUR years Sylar never once comes across the information that he discovers only a few episodes later when the timeline changes (that Peters not his brother - Angela not his mother) I love the show but I see more potential than they allow. Heroes writers, you really suck at this. Stick to the recent; past, present, and future. Your Delorean is broken. If not; show a future that's going to happen for a change.
I gotta agree, volume 3 had way too many plotholes. The writing staff at the time was garbage, so it was to be expected. But IMO, volume 4 is a vast improvement.
Like I said, it hasn't been confirmed that Ando's ability can actually "kill" someone. But I'm sure that it's fully capable of doing so if he were to exert enough energy.
becoz he kills everyone takes there power.... he dies at a end of 2 volumes but sumhow lives..... im not really getting bored of him i just dont like it how he is always the villain and like as you said he can kill all the captured evolved humans and take their powers like a kid in a candy store!..... so yeh..
The Haitian should've beat him to death a long time ago. And I don't care for this 'He is to powerful for me' shit. You block peoples powers! He's not a runnaway train. Heroes is full of missed oppurtunities Sylar gets to prance around looking for his daddy while Adam Monroe is a pile of dust in a landfill somewhere. Zachary Quinto is awesome, but I have to give props to David Anders for being a better actor and a more convincing villain - you know (realistically).
Ando vs. Elle. I say Ando has the strongest, but it requires kind of a charge up first and both hands while Elle can fire with both hands and keep on shooting. Check out in A Clear and Present Danger when Sylar takes out all those agents with electricity. Both are cool powers.
Elle because Ando takes time to charge up. And also Elle can shoot continously and she has more experience using her power. That would be really interesting to see actually.
I love Ando and Hiro! Its cool that Ando finally got a power but you know way back in time when the eclipes was still happening Hiro saw the power that Ando has in this clip....sorta kill him. lol
So we'll see. They can not kill off Hiro. That is a no no. lol
Matt Jr has the ability to "activate" things. he reactivated the time-stopping aspect of Hiro's power. he can also turn the TV on even if it's unplugged and also bring toys to life.
lol then he gets knocked out...........
