  • this is just an advertisement

  • why the fuck do i have to be the onlyl dumbass here. everyones getting all these fancy fuckin creams n shit. i used fuckin vasceline and savlon and got told it was a bad idea. i seriously give up

  • i am using white petrolatum jelly is tht a bad idea?

  • @lesbianchica01 it not really good because it takes out the color.but i don't know i use Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm

  • My artist tole me to use Vitamin E Ointment, it keeps my skin nice and moist and does not irritate

  • You should never use petroleum based products to care for your tattoo. The best thing for healing an abrasion (a tattoo is a controlled abrasion) is air. Petroleum based products prevent air from reaching the tattoo, thus complicating healing. Light coats of fragrance-free lotion, no sun, not picking at it and trying to keep things from rubbing on it are the most important factors in a nicely healed tattoo.

  • Is aveeno is light weight lostion ?

  • Godamnit, my tattoo guys told me to use A+D and now i think its begining to pull out. FML

  • is a light facial, oil free, lotion good? and for how long? the lotion is called Every Man Jack.

  • DONT LISTEN TO HER! Just use motoroil to heal your tattoo!

  • Try natural oils such as almond, kukui or tea tree. These are very soothing and will help heal the tattoo quickly. AVOID all wax and petroleum based products. They clog pores. Avoid too much antibacterial soap as this is very drying. You can find these oils at health stores and they are used for all kinds of skin irritations with great success. Google them.

  • BIG HEAD SYNDROME!!! Greed and fear of competition spells someone knows there work sucks!!

  • My skin on the tattoo started like, going kind up? like flaking, one day after getting my tattoo.

  • Wow! All very good to know -- thanx!

  • Thank you for the info.

  • Its been four days since i got my tatt now i have to go to work is there any way i can wrap my tattoo up soo it wont rub on my pants plz let me sumone

  • i got my first tattoo 4 days ago and its peeling...i'm just wondering if its normal for the skin to come out the same color as the tattoo..i've been using coco butter lotion and A&D ointment for the past couple of days now and i'm just worried that the ink might be leaking out my skin or something..is this normal?

  • @SGTFUNKYFUZZ lol she answered your exact question in the video...It's normal.

  • gotta tattoo today... im 17 and my brothers a professional tattooist... he suggest using bepanthen baby rash cream, its already stopped the burning and im very happy with my new tattoo :)

  • LOL that picture of the bearded guy in the background is over a vagina.

  • What if u get a full upper arm tattoo? How do you bandage that and how long does it take it to heal.

  • I just got mine last night. Used A&D ointment packet the guy gave me this morning, then switched to lubriderm today. Feels a lot better with the Lubriderm on it.

  • im seeing Neopsporin is bad, which i used for like 2 days, saw that neosporin isnt good. then i hear A&D ointment is bad too! then i read vaseline, which i JUST put on like 5 minutes ago. now im seeing vaseline isnt good either... lmao im sooo confused. lol

  • H2Ocean tattoo cream works the best to fully help your tattoo heal. I've been using it and my tattoo looks beautiful :)

  • aveeno daily moisturizing lotion fragrance free from start to finish and ur tattoo will heal beautifuly

  • i havent used anything at all,is that a problem?

  • my tat started pealing and i picked it....my tatt has like white edges around it should i just keep moisturizing??

  • omg i just recently got my first tatt and the dude put glad-wrap on it, he wasnt very helpful at all but thnx for uploading this vid sooo helpful.

  • H2Ocean is the best possible thing you could use

  • Awesome video.

  • would cetaphil lotion work? its fragrance free n gentle...i just got a new tat..n realized i didnt have any ointment. tnx

  • Wow, that's some relief.

My new tattoo, i got 3 days ago, started to peel with black.

Thought it was the ink coming off, and i got worried.

But this made me feel better, thank you!

  • my tattoo artist told me to use vaseline but tht is patroliam jelly so shud i not use it and get another cream

  • @JJASTILL yahh vaseline i heard is bad for tattoos

  • Using a cream like Gerovital Moisturizing is OK? I know is much more delicate than a hand cream &stuff, and mainly girls use this for beauty treatment, but since I am in Japan, I don't know any other creams? So, can I borrow my gf one?? :D

  • i just use vaseline

  • Thank You Lenny Welch ;)

  • Buring it ok u know it working u dumb fuckkkkkkkkkkk

  • hey can i use aquaphor

  • Yes, Aquaphor has actually been proven to cut healing time in half for most people :)

  • i kno it sounds kinda stupid but i use johnsons baby lotion as my hand lotion.. is that also ok 4 a tattoo?? plzz let mi knoo

  • Thank you Linnie, my brand new dragon thats you as well.

  • I used nappy rash cream, bepanthenen, thats what my tattooist gave me.

The tattoo stayed really vibrant and clear and im really happy with it

  • I use bepanthenen also, i started using that after i stop with Savalon, i found it made my skin too dry.

Bepanthenen is brilliant stuff, very greasy buts leaves good moisture on the tattoo, which is what it needs, my tat is healing nicely whilst using it.

  • i heard its the best stuff to use, mines been peeling for a couple of days so just cleaning it a fair bit then putting that on

  • miami ink is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better

  • excellent instructions! thanks!

I'm allergic to wool and A&D has lanolin. You might let people know to look out for lanolin in their balms if they are allergic to wool.

I make a beeswax and cocoa butter based lip balm with sunflower or hemp oil, and that has worked well in place of a&d on my tats. Couple days later, just regular lotion like you mentioned.

  • a and d the first 2 days.. ur tatts are cuts in the skin u wannamake sure u get the germs out.. then lubriderm unscented lotion .. there is no right way just up to the person

  • I think a lucrative future career would be tattoo removal, this is due to the obvious degradation a woman with a tattoo has as she ages, thats not to say the tat changes much however what once looked hot on a 21 year old will look God awfull on a heavy 55 year old.

I'm sure some will defend this but its really simple physics regarding aging and males perceptions of older women with tats

  • Listen, it's not just women, it's MEN TOO. It's all older skin no matter the gender. Psh.

  • lol...agreed

  • @MightySaturn5 you dont care if at 55 you hate your tattoo...your 55 ......from 21 to 55 to you loved your tattoo....

  • My place gave me a&d

  • thank you

  • Good information! Exactly what my artist says. Gotta love having a certified nurse with a fine arts degree for a tattoo artist.

  • Curel unscented lotion is the best.

  • doubt it shes stumbling over her words haha

  • is she reading off a screen?
