I admire the greek. he just won his 1st round in 21 years. I was so happy when he won. Lets just hope he can get a few more round wins and maybe one day take home a wally. great job greek. thanx 4 posting!!
@kbtheshorty I always enjoyed watching your grandpa race! Doesn't he hold the record for the oldest topfuel driver to break 300mph?? I think he did it when he 70 IIRC???
I will post this video as soon as I can, the problem I have is my camera (my only source of converting VHS to digital) is on assignment still. When I get it back, finishing this race will be my first priority.
Terribly sorry about the long wait. Its really awesome to have the chance to talk to a man who works with a true legend. Best wishes, and I'll try my best to get my camera back ASAP.
@DLFerrariFan I was there at Columbus when Gary ran the first 4.99 second run. It was impressive. Too bad the sport lost him to cancer at such a young age.....
I have been looking for this video for years...I remember being at my friends house when I was in high school and going nuts over the back pedaling job.....Thanks for posting this!!!

THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!
was reported at the time that Amatto shut down to prevent any damage for the finals...
saved the parts, but forgot he was in a race.
WTG Chris great driving...
the finals were run the next day,to an empty house, because of a blown engine and the onset of darkness.
Cheers again buddy for posting this, you made my day!!!!
