all the songs of john after he separated with cynthia is like a cry for cynthia's attention coz he knows that..he cannot escape yoko anymore..through songs he can express everything all what he wants to tell cynthia and i know...that john really loves cynthia so much and they both sacrifice...soob theyll be in heaven there...yoko will not be welcome hahaha joke
It's fascinating to hear Cyn's description of how it was, thank you.I'm currently reading John Lennon:The Life and even though it's almost about 800 pages and does cover this time period pretty extensively, it felt like to me Cyn was portrayed as someone with no personality who John never really loved.I'm just to the part where he left Cyn & Jules for yoko and it seems to me that the author is much more sympathetic towards yoko,& it's kind of frustrating.he builds her up so much.imo too much.
That's actually one of my major pet peeves. People always portray Cynthia as this airhead who trapped John into a marriage by getting pregnant when this is not at all how it really is or how it really was.
People always think of her as being an insignificant part of his life. An early fling so to speak. But it was not at all. It has also been speculated that Jealous Guy was written for Cynthia, but it has never been definitively proven.
@NeilFraudstrong Cynthia was a match for John, he desired her. The story with Yoko is altogether different. She seems to have played him on his insecurities all the way. John was feeling very alone at the time he got together with Yoko, and Yoko the narcissist managed to assume a role that tailored John's sense of loss at the time. JohnandYoko was a scheme that fit Yoko's personal ambitions of using John for fame, while John seems to have tried to integrate Yoko Ono into his own personality,
@winstono75 really believing in that never before seen type of union that was just a game for Yoko. It is sad that John would buy into Yoko's plot, because there was absolutely nothing in it for him. But we know how vulnerable he was at the time they got together. The relationship started right at the same time that John had announced to Pete Shotton and the Beatles that he was the incarnation of Jesus.
Starting a relationship with Yoko Ono was right up there with declaring himself Jesus in terms of far-out things to do. His heart was once with Cynthia, but his heart was never with Yoko, only his confusion.
@NeilFraudstrong I loved the book John Lennon: The Life -- well written in many ways -- but yes, it's clear the author read the book by Cyn, yet seems to have missed the love part on John's part. It's clear John was an unzipped-fly guy, but he also loved her; and I really do think Jealous Guy is for Cyn more than Yoko (he says: dreaming of the past, etc.), but he also was a jerk to Yoko again and again, so it's possible it's to both women.
@boobah1067 Well if he was a jerk to Yoko, I'd say she deserved it. She was the one who pursued him, not the other way around. But I didn't like the way he treated Cynthia sometimes. He could be good to her, but he certainly could've done better.
@NeilFraudstrong To me it`s pretty much evident it`s written for her and a large part of John`s music was devoted to her.People should recognise her as John`s true companion and person who really loved him and cared about him when he had nothing. And was a nobody.
This Yoko person is pretty manipulative.I`m not judgmental myself,if two people love each other, nothing should stand in their way.but in her case she seemed to be using John for publicity. It was sort of planned for, very disturbing.
That book is very pro-Yoko because she was involved with it to start with and then she withdrew her support. Anything with her involvement or the people she associates with, is going to be the same story; hence the portrayal of Cynthia being a small part of John's life, capturing him by pregnancy and the portrayal of Yoko being John's savior, love of his life. Cynthia was much kinder in her book than Yoko deserved.

@NeilFraudstrong Rubbish John really loved Cyn and Cyn was a dotted wife. Yoko was the one who destroyed this loving family and destroyed the Beatles

Haha yes. I am so sorry it took this long. It's like I have said many times. Only being allowed to upload 10 minute videos is a real pain.
